Özet
Mustafa Sabri Efendi siyasî ve ilmî yönleriyle öne çıkan, kabul ettiği değerleri savunmakta tavizsiz tutum sergilemekten çekinmeyen, şeyhülislamlığını da yaptığı Osmanlı'nın son döneminde yetişmiş, geniş müktesebata sahip bir mütefekkirdir. Siyasî, edebî, ilmî, iktisadî ve felsefî konulara dair yaklaşımlarını açık ve anlaşılır bir söylemle ve çoğunlukla tartışma yöntemine başvurarak ortaya koymuştur. O bireysel ve toplumsal meselelerin çözülüp aydınlatılması üzerine düşünceler üretmiş, dayandığı temellerin tutarsızlığı dolayısıyla Batı Medeniyeti'nin sunduğu çözüm alternatiflerine itibar edilmemesi gerektiğini savunmuştur. Tarihsel seyrini de dikkate alarak Batı düşüncesine dair değerlendirme ve eleştirilerini öne sürerken, Batılıların sözde üstünlüklerine aldanarak taklide yönelen Müslüman aydınların yaklaşımlarını da eleştirerek tartışma konusu yapmıştır. Bu tezimizde, Mustafa Sabri Efendi'nin din-akıl uyumuna dayalı düşünce sistemini oluşturan ilkelerin tespitiyle, sistemin inşasını sağlayan diyalektik yönteminin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Böylelikle Batı Düşüncesi ve onun sorgulanmadan kabulü ile İslam Düşüncesinin özgün muhtevası arasındaki derin farklılığın ortaya konulmasına çalışılmıştır.
Mustafa Sabri Efendi is a scholar who is known for his political and scientific ideas and has been educated in the last period of Ottoman Empire which he was the last sheikh al-Islam, who did not hesitate to exhibit his uncompromising attitude in defending the values he accepted. He presented his approach to the political, literary, scientific, economic and philosophical issues with a clear and comprehensible rhetoric and mostly by the method of discussion. He produced ideas on the dissolution and clarification of individual and social issues, and argued that there should be no respect for the solution alternatives offered by western civilization due to the inconsistency of the foundations on which it is based. Taking into account the historical progress, he also criticized the approaches of muslim intellectuals who were manipulated into the imitations of westerners while suggesting their criticism about western thought. In this thesis, with the determination of the principles that constitute the system of thought based on the religion-mind harmony of Mustafa Sabri Efendi, it is aimed to determine the dialectical method which enables the construction of the system. Thus, it was tried to reveal the deep difference between western thought and its acceptance without questioning and the original content of Islamic thought.
