Özet
Sosyal girişimcilik, toplumda var olan sorunları, maddi fayda beklentisi
olmaksızın çözmeye çalışan ve toplumu dönüştürmeyi amaçlayan girişimcilik
faaliyetleridir. Bu araştırmada kurumsallaşmanın sosyal girişimlerin (dernek ve
vakıf) performansına etkileri incelenmiştir. Kurumsallaşma, kurumların kişilerden
bağımsız bir şekilde faaliyetlerini sürdürebilmesini ve geliştirebilmesini sağlayan bir
yapıya sahip olmasıdır. Performans ise ulaşılmak istenen amaca ne ölçüde
ulaşıldığının göstergesidir.
Çalışma kapsamında kurumsallaşma unsurları; profesyonelleşme, formel
yapı, yetki devri, stratejik planlama, yönetime katılma, karar alma, iletişim, denetim
ve hesap verilebilirliktir. Performans olarak satış performansı, üretim performansı,
insan kaynakları performansı ve finansal performans ele alınmıştır. Araştırma
kapsamında kavramlar arasındaki ilişkiler hipotezlendirilmiş ve bunları test etmek
için Türkiye’de bulunan dernek ve vakıflar ele alınmıştır.
Araştırmada hem nicel hem de nitel yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Nicel araştırma
kapsamında 489 kişiye anket uygulanmıştır. Nitel araştırma da ise 20 kişi ile
görüşülmüştür. Hem nicel hem de nitel araştırma sonucunda kurumsallaşma ile
performans arasında ilişki bulunmuştur. Araştırma sonuçları literatürdeki
araştırmaları desteklemektedir.
Social entrepreneurship is entrepreneurial activities that try to solve the problems existing in the society without the expectation of financial benefit and aim to transform the society. In this research, the effects of institutionalization on the performance of social enterprises (associations and foundations) were examined. Institutionalization is a structure that enables institutions to continue and develop their activities independently of individuals. Performance is an indicator of the extent to which the desired goal has been achieved. Institutionalization elements within the scope of the study; professionalization, formal structure, delegation of authority, strategic planning, participation in management, decision making, communication, supervision and accountability. Sales performance, production performance, human resources performance and financial performance are discussed as performance. Within the scope of the research, the relationships between the concepts were hypothesized and the associations and foundations in Turkey were discussed in order to test them. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were used in the research. Within the scope of the quantitative research, a questionnaire was applied to 489 people. In the qualitative research, 20 people were interviewed. As a result of both quantitative and qualitative research, a relationship was found between institutionalization and performance. The results of the research support the studies in the literature.
