Özet
Araştırmada ilkokul ikinci sınıf öğrencilerinin Türkçe dersi kapsamında kelime hazinelerinin eylem planları aracılığıyla geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılında Konya ilinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Nitel bir araştırma deseni olan katılımcı eylem araştırması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemeye uygun olan araştırmacının kendi öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubunu dokuz kız ve dokuz erkek olmak üzere toplam 18 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Bu süreçte üç eylem planı geliştirilip uygulanmıştır. Birinci eylem planı okuma stratejilerine dayalı etkinlikleri, ikinci eylem planı görsellerin kullanımına dayalı etkinlikleri ve üçüncü eylem planı ise dramaya dayalı etkinlikleri kapsamaktadır. Her eylem planında hikâye edici, bilgilendirici metinler ve şiirler kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama sürecinde öğrencilerin yazılı anlatımları (kompozisyon, hikâye ve şiir), araştırmacının saha günlüğü, öğrencilerin tuttukları günlükler ve okuduğunu anlama değerlendirme rubrikleri kullanılmıştır. Uygulamalar 30 hafta sürmüş ve öğrencilerin sözlü ve yazılı anlatım süreçleri adım adım takip edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde içerik analizi yöntemi benimsenmiştir. Çalışmada kullanılan yaratıcı drama, görseller ve okuma etkinlikleri, öğrencilerin öğrenme süreçlerine çok boyutlu katkı sağlamıştır. Araştırma sonuçları öğrencilerin kelime hazinelerinde, okuma anlama ve yazılı anlatım becerilerinde anlamlı gelişmeler olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Özellikle yaratıcı drama ve görsel materyallerin kullanımı, öğrencilerin dil gelişimini destekleyici bir unsur olarak dikkat çekmiştir. Hikâye edici ve bilgi verici metinler ile şiirlerin, öğrencilerin kelime kazanımı ve anlamlandırma becerilerine katkısı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca öğrencilerin yazılı ve sözlü ifade becerilerinde bir artış kaydedilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, bu araştırma Türkçe derslerinde uygulamalı ve yaratıcı yöntemlerin önemini vurgulamakta, kelime hazinesinin geliştirilmesinde drama, görseller ve zengin dil içeriklerinin etkili araçlar olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu bulgular, eğitim programlarının geliştirilmesi ve ilkokul düzeyindeki öğrenciler için yenilikçi öğrenme stratejileri oluşturulması açısından önemlidir.
The objective of the present study was to enhance the vocabulary of second grade primary school students through the implementation of action plans within the context of Turkish language instruction.The research was conducted in Konya province during the 2023-2024 academic year.The participatory action research method, which is a qualitative research design, was employed.The study group comprised the researcher's own students who met the criteria for convenience sampling. The study group comprised 18 students, 9 girls and 9 boys.Three action plans were developed and implemented: the first focused on reading strategies, the second on the use of visuals, and the third on drama.Narrative and informative texts, as well as poems, were employed in each action plan. The data collection process entailed the use of various instruments, including students' written narratives, such as essays, stories, and poems; the researcher's field diary; students' diaries; and reading comprehension assessment rubrics.The implementation period spanned 30 weeks, during which the students' oral and written expression processes were meticulously documented.The study employed a content analysis method to systematically analyze the collected data.The creative drama, visuals, and reading activities employed in the study contributed to a multifaceted enhancement of students' learning processes. The study's findings indicated significant advancements in students' vocabulary, reading comprehension, and written expression skills.Notably, the incorporation of creative drama and visual materials emerged as a pivotal enabler for students' linguistic development.The analysis revealed that narrative and informative texts, along with poems, contributed to students' vocabulary acquisition and comprehension skills.Additionally, there was a marked enhancement in students' written and oral expression abilities. In summary, this study underscores the significance of applied and creative methods in Turkish language instruction, demonstrating the efficacy of drama, visuals, and rich language in fostering linguistic development.
