Özet
Tahsin Demiray; fikir adamı, siyasetçi, yazar, yayıncı, cemiyetçi, öğretmen ve şairdir. Çalışmamızda şahsî kütüphanemizde bulunan Tahsin Demiray’a ait ve müellif hattıyla yazılmış şiir defteri incelenmiştir. Eserin ikinci bir kopyası yoktur. Tahsin Demiray 1903 yılında İstanbul’da dünyaya gelmiştir ve çeşitli kitapları bulunmasına rağmen herhangi bir şiir kitabı yayımlanmamıştır. Şiirlerinden bazıları döneminde çıkan ve kendisinin bizzat çıkardığı dergilerde neşredilmiştir. Şahsî kütüphanemizde bulunan şiir defterinde ise bu dergilerde neşredilmiş olan ve daha önce herhangi bir dergi veya kitapta rastlamadığımız toplam yetmiş altı şiiri bulunmaktadır. Çalışmamızın giriş bölümünde Tahsin Demiray’ın yaşadığı dönemdeki siyasî, sosyal ve edebî durum hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde, Tahsin Demiray’ın hayatı ele alınmış ve kronolojik bir sıra izlenmiştir. Bu bölümde şahsiyeti, ailesi, eserleri ve yakın çevresi incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde Tahsin Demiray’ın şiir defteri tanıtılmış ve özellikleri ele alınmıştır. Eser şekil ve muhteva yönünden incelenmiştir. Üçüncü ve son bölümde ise şiir defterinin günümüz harflerine çevirisinin yapıldığı Metin bölümü, çalışmamızı değerlendirdiğimiz Sonuç bölümü ve defterden bazı sayfaların, Tahsin Demiray hakkında elde ettiğimiz bazı bilgi ve belgelerin örneklerinin görsellerini paylaştığımız Ekler bölümü yer almaktadır. Bu yüksek lisans tezi, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin kuruluş yıllarına şahitlik eden ve o dönemin siyasî ve sosyal hareketliliğinde önemli roller almasına rağmen unutulmaya yüz tutmuş Tahsin Demiray’ın mirasını tekrar canlandırmak amacıyla yazılmıştır.
Tahsin Demiray; He is a man of ideas, politicians, writers, publishers, societyman teachers and poets. In our study, the poetry notebook belonging to Tahsin Demiray, which is in our personal library and written in the author's calligraphy, was examined. There is no second copy of the work. Tahsin Demiray was born in Istanbul in 1903, and although he has various books, no poetry books have been published. Some of his poems were published in the magazines he published during his time. The poetry notebook in our personal library contains a total of seventy-six poems that were published in these magazines and that we have not encountered in any magazine or book before. In the introduction part of our study, information is given about the political, social and literary situation in the period in which Tahsin Demiray lived. In the first chapter, Tahsin Demiray's life is discussed and a chronological order is followed. In this section, his personality, family, works and close circle are examined. In the second chapter, Tahsin Demiray's poetry notebook is introduced and its features are discussed. The work was also examined in terms of form and content. In the third and last section, there is the Text section where the poetry notebook is translated into today's letters, the Conclusion section where we evaluate our work, and the Appendices section where we share images of some pages from the notebook and examples of some information and documents we have obtained about Tahsin Demiray. This master's thesis was written with the aim of reviving the legacy of Tahsin Demiray, who witnessed the founding years of the Republic of Turkey and has been forgotten despite playing important roles in the political and social mobility of that period.
