dc.description.abstractKonya iline bağlı Çumra İlçesi; kuzeyde Karatay, doğuda Karapınar, batıdaAkören ve Meram, güneybatıda Bozkır, güneyde Güneysınır ilçeleri,güneydoğuda ise Karaman ili ile sınırlıdır. Çumra ve çevresi M.Ö. 7000’liyıllardan bu yana yerleşmeye sahne olmuştur. Çünkü Çumra ve çevresindekidüz ve geniş alüvyal topraklarının kolay işlenebilmesi ve bu topraklardan bolürün alınması, bu sahanın tarih boyunca farklı insan gruplarının yaşama alanıhaline getirmiştir. Çumra çevresi tarih öncesi dönemden sonra sırasıyla Hitit,Frigler, Lidyalılar, Pers, Roma, Selçuklu, Karamanoğulları ve Osmanlıegemenliğinde kalmıştır. Bu çalışmada Çumra ilçesinin nüfus gelişimi ve bazıdemografik özellikleri incelenecektir. Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu başta olmaküzere çeşitli kurumlardan edilen sayısal veriler tablo ve grafik halinedönüştürülerek görselleştirilip coğrafi bakış açısı ile yorumlanmıştır. Çumra ilçemerkezi ve bağlı mahallelerinde 31 Aralık 2016 itibariyle 32.847’si erkek (% 49,9),32.989’u kadın (% 50,1), olmak üzere toplam 65.836 nüfus ikamet etmektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractÇumra, the district of Konya province, has a border with the districts of Karatayin the north, Karapınar in the east, Akören and Meram in the west, Bozkır in thesouthwest, Güneysınır in the south, and the province of Karaman in thesoutheast. Çumra and its surroundings have been a settlement place since 7000BC. Because the easy processing of smooth and wide alluvial lands in Çumraand its surroundings and the abundance of products from these lands havemade this area the living space of different human groups throughout history.After the prehistoric period Çumra was in the order of Hittites, Phrygians,Lydians, Persians, Romans, Seljuks, Karamanids and Ottomans. In this studypopulation development and some demographic characteristics of the district ofÇumra will be examined. Digital data obtained from various institutions,especially from Turkish Statistical Institute were visualized by transformingthem into tables and graphics and then they were interpreted in terms ofgeographical point of view. By the date of 31st December 2016, 65.836 people,32.847 of whom are male (49.9%) and 32.989 of whom are female (50.1%), live inthe center of Çumra and its neighborhoods.en_US
