| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmanın temel amacı; alternatif değerlendirme yöntemlerinden kavram haritaları, yapılandırılmış grid ve tanılayıcı dallanmış ağacın akademik başarıya etkisini incelemek ve öğretmen ve öğrencilerin bu yöntemlerle ilgili düşüncelerini belirlemektir. Bu çalışmada hem nicel ve hem de nitel araştırma yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın nicel boyutunda yarı deneysel desen kullanılarak öğrencilere akademik başarı testi ön-test ve son-test olarak uygulanmıştır. Nitel boyutunda ise, öğrencilerin görüşleri bir anket, öğretmenlerin görüşleri ise yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşmeler aracılığıyla elde edilmiştir. Çalışma grubunu Gaziantep ili Şahinbey ilçesinde bir ortaokulda fen bilimleri öğretmenleri ve kontrol ve deney grubunu oluşturan 2 farklı şubedeki 7. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Nicel verilerin analizinde SPSS 24 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarından elde edilen puanlar arasındaki farkın anlamlı olup olmadığı "t" testi ile sınanmıştır. Nitel verilerin analizi için betimsel analiz yaklaşımı kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre; kavram haritası, yapılandırılmış grid ve tanılayıcı dallanmış ağacın kullanılması öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını arttırmada etkili olduğu gözlenmiştir. Kullanılan bu yöntemlerle ilgili, öğrencilerin genellikle olumlu görüşe sahip oldukları, öğretmenlerin ise avantaj ve dezavantajlarının farkında olarak bu yöntemlerin öğrenmeyi değerlendirme ve desteklemede amacıyla derslerinde kullanmayı tercih ettikleri sonucuna varılmıştır. | dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of concept maps, structured grid and diagnostic branched tree on academic success and to determine the views of teachers and students about these methods. Quantitative and qualitative research methods were used together to achieve the aim of the study. In the quantitative dimension, the academic achievement test was applied as pre and posttests by using quasi-experimental design. In the qualitative dimension, the views of students by using a questionnaire and the views of teachers by using semi-structured interviews were conducted. The research group was formed by 7th grade students in 2 different classes as forming the control and experimental groups and the science teachers from a middle school in Şahinbey district of Gaziantep province of Turkey. To analyze collected quantitative data SPSS 24 package software was used and in order to determine the difference between the experimental and control group students, t-test was conducted. According to the results of the study, the use of concept map, structured grid and diagnostic branched tree was effective in increasing students' academic achievement. It is found that students generally positively approached these methods; the teachers prefer to use these methods to assess and support their students learning by considering both the advantages and disadvantages of the methods. | en_US |
