Özet
Psikolojide tipler üzerine yaptığı çalışmasında Jung, insanlık tarihinde daha
önce de üzerine çok düşünülmüş bir konu olan, insana hâkim olan temel tutumları
belirleme ve buna dayanarak farklı insan kişiliklerini belli sınıflara ayırma çabasına
girmiş ve başarılı olmuştur. Bunun için Jung öncelikle ayırdedici özellikleri ortaya
koyan “tutum ve işlev tipleri”ni belirlemiştir. Baskın olan tutum ve işlev tiplerinin
birleşmesi sonucu ortaya sekiz tip çıkmaktadır. Jung “Psikolojide Tipler” adlı
eserinde bu tipleri detaylı olarak inceler ve geçmişte yapılmış tasniflerle karşılaştırır.
Jung’un çalışmasından roman karakterlerini tahlil etmek ve kişilik tiplerini
belirlemek için de faydalanılabilir. Böylece karakterlerin davranışlarını şekillendiren
kişilikleri tespit edilebilir ve karakterlerin kişilik tiplerinin romandaki işlevine dair
çıkarımlar yapılabilir. Bu sayede roman karakterlerine daha derinlikli bir bakışla
bakmak mümkün olacaktır. Bu çalışmada, aynı amaçla Sabahattin Ali’nin roman
karakterleri Jung’un “Psikolojik Tipler” adlı çalışmasında sunduğu bilgilere uygun
olarak incelenmiş ve tahlil edilmiştir. Sonuçta Sabahattin Ali’nin roman
başkişilerinin hepsinin içedönük olduğu görülmüştür. Dışadönük olanlar yalnızca
yan kişilerdir. Roman karakterlerinin kişilikleri belirlendikten sonra kişilik
tiplerinin romandaki işlevine dair çıkarımlar yapılmıştır. Çalışmamızın son
bölümünde ise S.Ali’nin kişilik tipi ve roman karakterlerinin kişiliği ile kendi kişiliği
arasındaki ortaklıklar belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.
His work on types in psychology is one of the Carl Gustav Jung’s greatest contributions to the science of psychology. İn this work of his, Jung tried to determine the basic attitudes that dominates human being, which has been a subject that has been much thought before in history of humanity, and to classify the human personality based on this, and it was successful. For this Jung firstly determined the attitude and function types that reveal distinctive features. Eight types emerge as a result of the combination of dominant attitude and function. İn his work, “Psycological Types” Jung, examine these types in detail and compare them with the classifications that made in the past. Jung’s work can also be used to analyzing novel characters and identify their personaly type. Thus the personalities that determine the behavior of the characters can be understood and inferences can be made about the functions of characters personalities in the novel. İn this way, it will be possible to look at the characters of the novel with a more in-depth look. With the same aim, in this study, the novel characters of Sabahattin Ali were examined and analyzed in accordance with the information presented by Jung in his work named “Psycological Types”. As a result, it has been seen that all of Sabahattin Ali’s protagonists are introverted. The ones who are extroverted are only the antagonists. After analizing the personality type of novel characters, the inferences were made about the function of personality types in the novel. İn the final chapter of our work, S.Ali’s personality type and the differences between his personality type and his novel characters personality type has been determined.
