dc.description.abstractBu çalışma Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı (MEB) tarafından yayımlanan İlkokul 4. Sınıf matematik ders kitabının “Ünite Değerlendirme Soruları” ve “Çalışalım” bölümünde bulunan problemlerin, problem türlerini, problem çözme stratejilerini ve bu problemleri MEB‟nın matematik programında yer alan öğrenme alanlarına göre incelemeyi amaçlamıştır. Bu amaçla bu çalışma, doküman incelemesi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Bu kapsamda çalışmada ele alınan 114 problem; öğrenme alanlarına, çözüm stratejilerine ve problem türlerine göre incelenmiştir. Verilerin analizi aşamasında nitel veri analizi tekniklerinden betimsel analiz tekniğinden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda problem çözme stratejileri bakımından en fazla bir işlem seçme stratejisine yer verilmiştir. Problem türü bakımından incelendiğinde ise sadece bir tane rutin olmayan probleme rastlanmıştır. Problemlerin çözümünde, basitleştirme stratejisi, geriye doğru çalışma stratejisi, problemi yeniden ifade etme stratejisi, tahmin etme stratejisi, toplama yoluyla sayma ve ek çizim yapma stratejisi sadece birer kez kullanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda matematik ders kitaplarının esnek çözümlere olanak sağlayacak problem türlerine daha çok yer verilerek hazırlanması önerilmektedir. Araştırmanın bulguları doğrultusunda problem ve problem çözme alanındaki araştırmacılar, ilkokul matematik ders kitaplarını daha kapsamlı nitel ve nicel yöntemlerle inceleyebilirler.
dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to examine the problem types, problem solving strategies and problem solving strategies of the problems in the "Unit Evaluation Questions" and "Let's Work" sections of the 4th grade mathematics textbook published by the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) and to examine these problems according to the learning areas in the mathematics curriculum of the MoNE. For this purpose, this study was conducted using document analysis. In this context, 114 problems were analyzed according to learning domains, solution strategies and problem types. In the data analysis phase, descriptive analysis technique, one of the qualitative data analysis techniques, was used. As a result of the research, in terms of problem solving strategies, the most common strategy was choosing an operation. When analyzed in terms of problem type, only one nonroutine problem was found. In solving the problems, simplification strategy, working backwards strategy, restating the problem strategy, estimation strategy, counting by addition and additional drawing strategy were used only once. In this direction, it is recommended that mathematics textbooks should be prepared by including more problem types that will allow flexible solutions. In line with the findings of the study, researchers in the field of problems and problem solving can examine primary school mathematics textbooks with more comprehensive qualitative and quantitative methods.
