| dc.description.abstract | Araştırmanın temel amacı, Bilim Sanat Merkezlerinde görev yapan matematik öğretmenlerinin öğretmen kimlik gelişimlerini derinlemesine incelemektir. Bu bağlamda, araştırma 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılı içerisinde Ege Bölgesinde bir ilimizde bulunan Bilim Sanat Merkezlerinde görev yapan matematik öğretmenleriyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın saha uygulaması sürecinde, öğretmenlerle birebir görüşmeler yapılmış ve bu görüşmeler bir ay boyunca devam etmiştir. Görüşmelerde, öğretmenlerin mesleki kimlik algıları, öğretim süreçlerine yaklaşımları, karşılaştıkları zorluklar ve bu süreçlerin kimlik gelişimleri üzerindeki etkileri detaylı bir şekilde ele alınmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden içerik analizi yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiş ve bilgisayar destekli nitel veri analiz programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bu analizler sonucunda öğretmen kimliklerine ilişkin temalar ve kodlar ortaya çıkarılarak, öğretmenlerin bireysel ve mesleki gelişim süreçlerine ait, mesleki kimlik algıları, lisans ve lisans öncesi aldıkları eğitimlerin etkisi, motivasyon kaynakları, matematik öğretmen kimliklerinin oluşumu, çalıştıkları kurumların avantajları gibi bulgular elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulguları, Bilim ve Sanat Merkezlerinde görev yapan matematik öğretmenlerin mesleki kimlik gelişim süreçlerine katkı sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The main objective of this study is to examine in depth the development of teacher identity among mathematics teachers working in Science and Art Centers. In this context, the research was conducted during the 2023–2024 academic year with mathematics teachers employed at Science and Art Centers located in a province in the Aegean Region of Türkiye. During the fieldwork phase of the study, one-on-one interviews were conducted with the teachers, and these interviews continued over a one-month period. The interviews focused in detail on the teachers’ perceptions of professional identity, their approaches to teaching processes, the challenges they face, and the effects of these factors on their identity development. The data obtained were evaluated using the content analysis method, one of the qualitative research techniques, and analyzed with the support of computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software. As a result of these analyses, themes and codes related to teacher identities were identified. The findings revealed insights into teachers' individual and professional development processes, their perceptions of professional identity, the influence of their pre-service and undergraduate education, sources of motivation, the formation of their mathematics teacher identity, and the advantages of the institutions in which they work. The findings of the research aim to contribute to the understanding of professional identity development processes of mathematics teachers working in Science and Art Centers. | |
