Özet
"Hamid b. Ali b. İbrahim el-İmadi ve Şiiri" isimli bu çalışmada Osmanlı Dönemi Arap şairlerinden Hamid el-İmadi'nin (ö. 1173/1758) hayatı, muhteva ve şekil yönünden şiirleri incelenmiş ve divanı oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışma giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Şairin divanı da ek olarak sona eklenmiştir. Giriş bölümünde şairin yetiştiği şehir olan Dimaşk'ın XVIII. yüzyıldaki siyasal, sosyal ve kültürel durumu hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde şairin hayatı, ailesi, hocaları, talebeleri, eserleri ve edebi kişiliği ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde şairin şiirleri muhteva, üçüncü bölümde ise şekil açısından incelenmiştir. Hamid el-İmadi, medih, Peygamber methiyeleri ve ihvaniyyat vb. konularda şiir söylemiştir. Kasidenin yanında muvaşşah türünde de şiir yazan şairin dili sadedir. Sonuç olarak çalışmada Hamid el-İmadi'nin şiirlerinin muhteva, şekil ve edebi uslûp bakımından Osmanlı Dönemi Arap Edebiyatının temel özelliklerini taşıdığı görülür.
This thesis named "Hamid b. Ali b. Ibrahim el-Imadi and His Poems" attempts to analyze the life of Ha^mid el-I·ma^di^ and his poetries in terms of their contentual and formal properties. This study consist of introduction and three chapters and appendix. The introduction gives general description about political, social and cultural life in Damascus in the 18th century, where el- Imadi lived. The first chapter approaches to poet's life, his family, his teachers, his students, his books and his literary identity. The second chapter deals with his poetry's content. The third chapter evaluates his poetries based on their stylistic properties. The appendix consist of his entire poems. al- Imadi wrote poems on praise, in praise of the Prophet and ikhwaneyat etc. He used an unsophisticaded language with his poems. He wrote his poetries with eulogy and muwassah. In conclusion, this study showed that the poetries of Hamid al-Imadi are valuable in point of content, language and style and that he is one of the distinguished poets in his day.
