dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı sosyal hareketliliğin nasıl bir süreç dahilinde gerçekleştiğini anlamaya çalışmak ve bu süreç boyunca toplumsal konumların kuşaklararası aktarımına imkan tanıyan sosyal etkenleri keşfetmektir. Kayseri’nin merkez ilçeleri kapsamında gerçekleştirilmiş olan bu çalışmada nitel yöntem tercih edilmiş ve yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat tekniği ile 16’sı erkek 12’i kadın olmak üzere 28 katılımcı ile görüşülmüştür. Çalışmanın sonucunda ise Kayseri’deki sosyal hareketlilik sürecinde, ailelerin ve dönüşen toplumsal kurumların önemli bir belirleyen olduğuna ve bu doğrultuda başta aile olmak üzere kamu politikalarının, işgücü piyasalarının ve sivil toplum kuruluşlarının sosyal hareketliliğin ya da hareketsizliğin başat faktörleri olduğuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma boyunca bütün katılımcıların mevcut toplumsal konumlarına gelinceye değin pek çok sosyal etki ile kuşatılmış olduklarına rastlanmıştır. Katılımcıların mevcut toplumsal konumlarının toplumsal kökenlerinden bağımsız bir şekilde ele alınamayacağına ulaşılan bu çalışma ile toplumsal konumların kuşaklar boyunca aktarıla geldiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu sebeple bu çalışma, bireysel çaba ve kabiliyet merkezli açıklamalardan önce sosyal etkenlerin keşfedilerek tüketilmesinin, sosyal hareketlilik deneyimlerinin anlaşılmasında zaruri bir süreç olması gerektiğini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Nitekim sosyal hareketlilik kavramının kavramsal dizgisinde de hareketlilik süreci sosyal sıfatı ile imlenir. Bu çalışmada da toplumsal konumların elde edilme sürecini ifade eden bu kavramsallaştırma yeniden doğrulanmış ve hareketlilik sürecinin sadece bireysel fenomenler ile anlaşılamayan sosyal bir birliktelik olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to try to understand how social mobility takes place and to explore the social factors that allow the intergenerational transfer of social positions throughout this process. In this study, which was carried out within the scope of the central districts of Kayseri, the qualitative method was preferred and 28 participants, 16 men and 12 women, were interviewed by semi-structured interview technique. As a result of the study, it has been reached that families and transforming social institutions are an important determinant in the social mobility process in Kayseri, and in this direction, especially the family, public policies, labor markets and non-governmental organizations are the dominant factors of social mobility or inactivity. Throughout the research, it was found that all participants were surrounded by many social influences until they came to their current social position. With this study, it was concluded that the current social positions of the participants could not be handled independently of their social origins, and it was concluded that social positions were transmitted over generations. For this reason, this study revealed that the discovery and consumption of social factors before individual effort and ability-centered explanations should be an essential process in understanding social mobility experiences. As a matter of fact, in the conceptual framework of the concept of social mobility, the process of mobility is marked with the adjective social. In this study, this conceptualization, which expresses the process of obtaining social positions, has been reaffirmed and it has been concluded that the mobility process is a social unity that cannot be understood only with individual phenomena.en_US
