Özet
Epistemoloji on yedinci yüzyıldan itibaren felsefenin baş disiplini haline gelmiştir. Bu hususta temeli atan en önemli düşünürün Descartes olduğu kabul edilir. Descartes ile açılan bu çığır on sekizinci yüzyıl felsefesinde de yerini korumuştur. Bu yüzyılda bu bayrağı John Locke devralmış ve ardından bu gelenek George Berkeley ve David Hume ile devam etmiştir. On yedinci yüzyılda rasyonalist anlayış egemen iken on sekizinci yüzyılda emprist anlayış egemen olmuştur. Bu çalışmamızda egemen olan emprist anlayışın üç önemli temsilcisi olan John Locke, George Berkeley ve David Hume incelenmiş ve mukayeseli olarak araştırılmıştır. Her üçü de emprist olan bu düşünürler arasındaki benzerlik ve farklılıkları gözler önüne serilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmamızın asıl bölümünü John Locke oluşturmaktadır. Locke'un, Berkeley'i ve Hume'u nasıl ve ne şekilde etkilemiş olabileceği irdelenmiştir.
Since 17th century epistemology has been the one of the head of philosophy. On this field, Descartes has become the principle thought of philosophy because of blazing trail. The flow of thought had continued with John Locke in 18th century. After then, George Berkeley and David Hume. Back in the 17th, rationalist thought was sovereign whereas empiricism thought was sovereign in the 18th century. Empiricism thought had 3 empiricist leaders who searched, criticized and examined John Locke, George Berkeley and David Hume. We worked on similarities and differences between them despite three of them are empiricists. The big part of our search is about John Locke in order how he influenced the others, Berkeley and Hume.
