Vernal keratokonjonktivitli olgularda kan eosinofil sayısı ve serum IgE düzeyinin değerlendirilmesi

dc.description.abstractBu çalışma vernal keratokonjonktivitli olgularda kan eozinofîl sayısı ve serum Ig E değerlerinin hastalık süresi, cinsiyet, yaş, hastalık tipi ve BK sayısı ile olan ilişkilerini araştırmak amacı ile vernal keratokonjonktivitli 40 olgu (25 erkek ve 15 kadın) üzerinde gerçekleştirildi. Olguların yaş ortalaması 1 6.25±6.76 yıl idi. VK'li olgularda değerlendirme, sık görülen şikayet ve bulgu, hastalığın tipi ve hastalığın klinik bulgularının başladığı tarihten değerlendirme tarihine kadar geçen süre esas alınarak yapıldı. Olgularımızda, kaşıntı en sık şikayet olmakla birlikte şikayetlerin en fazla ilkbahar mevsiminde (%60.0) arttığı tespit edildi.Palpebral tip VK, olgularımızda en sık olan (%45.0) hastalık tipi idi. VK'li olgularda kan eosinofil sayısı ve serum Ig E değerlerinin yaşa, cinsiyete, BK'ye ve hastalığın tiplerine göre dağılımında fark bulunmadı (P>0.05). Ancak hastalık süresi arttıkça kan eosinofil sayısı ve serum Ig E değerinin arttığı tespit edildi (PO.05). VK'li olgularda hastalık süresi ile birlikte kan eozinofîl sayısının ve serum Ig E değerlerinin artması bu hastalığın etyopatogenezinde tip I aşın duyarlık reaksiyonu ile birlikte tip IV aşın duyarlık reaksiyonunun da rol oynayabileceğini göstermektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted to investigate the relationship between the blood eosinophil number and serum Ig E values with the duration of illness, sex, age, the type of illness and the number of white blood cells in 40 cases (25 males and 1 5 females) with vernal keratoconjunctivitis (VKC). The mean age of the cases was 16.25±6.76 years. Evaluation of the cases with VK was made on the basis of the most common complaints and symptomps, type of illness and the period passed between the onset of clinical symptoms and the date of evaluation. In our cases, itching was the most common problem and the complaints were found to be increased (60%) in the spring season. The palpebral type of VKC was the most commonly observed type of illness (45%). There was no significant difference in the distribution of blood eosinophil number and serum Ig E values regarding to the age, sex, white blood cells and the types of the illness (P>0.05). However, a statistically significant increase in the blood eosinophil number and serum Ig E values with the increase in the duration of illness was determined (PO.05). The increasement of blood eosinophil number and serum Ig E values with the duration of the illness in cases with VK may suggest that type IV hypersensitivity reaction along with the type I may also play role in the etiopathogenesis of the illness.en_US
