dc.description.abstractAmaç: Bu araştırmada psikiyatri kliniğinde çalışan hemşirelerin şizofreniye yönelik damgalamaya ilişkinsüreçleri anlaşılmaya çalışılmış; damgalamanın önlenmesine yönelik önerilerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır.Yöntem: Araştırmada nitel araştırma deseni kullanılmış ve 15 hemşire ile görüşülmüştür. Araştırmadayarı yapılandırılmış soru formu kullanılmış ve toplanan veriler veri indirgeme yöntemi ile analiz edilmiş vekodlamalar kullanılmıştır.Bulgular: Katılımcıların çoğunluğu şizofreniyi gerçeklik algısında değişim ile karakterize bir bozuklukolarak tanımlamış, tamamı damgalama sürecinde şizofreni tanısının büyük bir rolünün olduğunu ifade etmiş vedamgalama sürecinin tanının konmasıyla birlikte başladığını eklemişlerdir. Hemşireler hastalara yönelik en çoktedirginlik ve şefkat duygularını yaşadıklarını ifade etmişlerdir. Katılımcıların yarıdan fazlası şizofrenihastalarının psikiyatrik tanısı olmayan bireylerle aynı kalitede sağlık hizmeti almadıklarını, bunun nedenininönyargı ve damgalama sürecinin olduğunu, bu süreçlerde ise eğitim eksikliğinin etkisi olduğunu belirtmişlerdir.Bu çalışmaya katılan hemşirelerin tamamına yakını damgalamayla mücadelede eğitimin etkili olacağını ve bueğitimin aile, toplum ve sağlık çalışanlarına yönelik olması gerektiğini ifade etmişlerdir. Çalışmanın önemli birbulgusu da küçük de olsa şizofreniye yönelik damgalama ile mücadele edilse de bunun mümkün olmayacağınınifade edilmesidir.Sonuçlar: Ruhsal hastalıklara yönelik olumsuz tutum, önyargı ve damgalamanın azaltılabilmesineyönelik; hemşirelik ders müfredatının yeniden değerlendirilmesi, klinik hemşirelerine yönelik hizmetiçieğitimlerin planlanması ve deneysel çalışmalar yapılarak sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesi önerilmektedir.Anahtar Sözcükler: damgalama; şizofreni; tutumen_US
dc.description.abstractAim: In this study, it was tried to understand the processes of nurses working in psychiatry clinicregarding the stigmatization toward schizophrenia; It is aimed to reveal the proposals for the prevention of thestigmatization.Method: Qualitative research design was used in the research and 15 nurses were interviewed. In thisresearch the semi-structured questionnaire was used and collected data was analyzed by the method of datareduction and coding was used.Results: The majority of participants described schizophrenia as a disorder of character with change inthe perception of reality, all of them said that the role of diagnosis of schizophrenia played an important role inthe stigmatization process, and they added that the stigmatization process began with the diagnosis ofschizophrenia. Nurses stated that they experienced the most uneasiness and compassion for patients. More thanhalf of the participants stated that the patients with schizophrenia did not receive the same quality health careservice as those who did not diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder and that this was caused by prejudices andthe stigmatization of schizophrenic patients and was indicated that the effect of lack of education in theseprocesses. Nearly all of the nurses who participated in this study agreed that training was important in thestruggle against stigmatization of schizophrenia, and it was necessary for this training to address families,society, and health professionals. Another important finding of the study is that it will not be possible to strugglewith stigmatization for schizophrenia.Conclusion: The negative attitudes towards mental illnesses, the prejudice and the reduction of thestigmatization; Re-evaluation of the nursing curriculum, planning of in-service training for clinical nurses andby conducting experimental studies evaluation of the results are recommendeden_US
