| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğrencilerin alt grup kavramına ilişkin karşılaştıkları zorlukları tespit etmektir. Karşılaşılan zorlukları tespit etme sürecinde öğrencilerin çözüm adımlarının incelenmesi oldukça önemlidir. Literatür incelenerek ve uzman görüşü alınarak öğrenci çözümlerini incelemek için alt grup kavramına ilişkin yazılı sorular hazırlanmıştır. Hazırlanan bu yazılı sorularda alt grup kavramını tanımlama, uygun alt grup örneği verme, alt grup belirten bir kümenin alt grup şartlarını sağladığını gösterme, kalan gruplarının alt gruplarını belirlemeye yönelik sorular bulunmaktadır. Bu sorularda, öğrencilerin yaptığı hatalar, sahip olduğu eksiklikler, sahip oldukları kavram yanılgılarından yola çıkarak yaşadıkları zorluklara yönelik veriler elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler uygun değerlendirme kriterleri oluşturularak nitel analiz yöntemlerinden olan içerik analizi ile analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca mevcut bir durumu ortaya koyma çabası olduğu için çalışma, durum çalışması deseni ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada 2023-2024 öğretim yılında eğitim fakültesinde eğitim görmekte olan 31 ilköğretim matematik öğretmenliği öğrencisi yer almıştır. Bu öğrencilerin yazılı sorulara verdikleri yanıtlar incelendiğinde elde edilen sonuçlar üç ayrı başlıkta belirtilmiştir: 1) Öğrencilerin çoğunluğu kabul edilebilir tanım yapabilirken kabul edilemez ve eksik tanımlar da azımsanacak seviyede değildir. 2) Alt grup kontrolü yaparken şartların ya göz ardı edildiği ya eksik incelendiği ya da direkt kabul edildiği görülmüştür. 3) Kalan gruplarına yönelik ciddi kavram yanılgılarına sahip olunduğu görülmüştür. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to determine the difficulties encountered related with the concept of subgroup. In the process of determining the difficulties that students encounter, it is very important to examine the solution steps of the students. Written questions on the concept of subgroup were prepared to examine student solutions by reviewing the literature and taking expert opinion. In these written questions, there are questions about defining the concept of subgroup, giving an example of subgroup, making control subgroups conditations, and determining the subgroups of remainder groups. With these questions, data were obtained about the mistakes made by the students, the lack of knowledge they had, and the difficulties they had based on the misconceptions. The data obtained were analyzed by content analysis, one of the qualitative analysis methods, by creating appropriate evaluation criteria. In addition, because there was an effort to reveal an existing situation, the study was conducted with a case study design. In the study, there were 31 elementary mathematics teaching students who were studying at the faculty of education in the 2023-2024 academic year. When the answers given by these students to the written questions were analyzed, the results obtained were stated under three titles: 1) Although the majority of the students were able to make acceptable definitions, unacceptable and incomplete definitions were not at a low level. 2) It was seen that the conditions were either ignored, incompletely examined or directly accepted when making subgroup control. 3) It was seen that there were serious misconceptions about the remaining groups. | |
