dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın ilk bölümünde oksidentalizmin doğuşunu hazırlayan oryantalizmin ve ötekiliğin tarihsel serüvenine yer verildikten sonra oksidentalizmin kapsamı, ortaya çıkmasına neden olan etmenler ve amacına değinilmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde ise Ahmet Mithat'ın edebiyatımızdaki yerine kısaca değindikten sonra onun eserlerinde yer alan oksidentalistik bakış, bazı başlıklar eşliğinde incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Mithat'ın düşünceleri; din, siyasi meseleler, devlet yönetimi ve askerlik, kadın, aile ve evlilik, kültür ve medeniyet gibi başlıklarda ortaya konmuştur. Ayrıca çalışmanın sonunda Ahmet Mithat'ın düşüncelerinin oksidentalizm bakımından hangi anlamlar içerdiğine değinilmeye çalışılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractAt the first part of this thesis, we reveal the historical evolution and aims of orientalism and the alterity that causes the appearance of occidentalism. At the second part, we deal the role of Ahmet Mithat at the Turkish literature and his occidentalistic ideas in company with some headings. The ideas of Mithat was examined such as religion, political troubles, state government, woman, family, marriage, culture, civilization by the headings. The value of these ideas for occidentalism was commented at the end of each heading. Also at the last part of thesis, these ideas were commented in company with occidentalist perspective.en_US
