Özet
Araştırmanın amacı, ilk gençlik eserleri ve dijital yayıncılık kapsamında popüler bilim yazarlığını incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda TÜBİTAK'ın web adresi ve sosyal ağlar üzerinden ulaşılan Bilim Genç yayınının sitesinde yayımlanan yazılar, videolar vb. içerikleri inceleyerek, literatür taraması yöntemiyle dijital yayıncılık, dijital dergi vb. kavramların ve ilişkin konuların incelemesi yapılmıştır. Bu yayıncılık özelinde yapılan çalışmaların yetersiz olduğu görülmüştür. Dergide içerik; "Popüler Bilim, Soru - Cevap, Tasarla ve Yap, Yeryüzü, Gökbilim, Deneyler, Bilim Çizgi, Bilim Genç TV, Sesli Yayın, Yarışmalar ve Bunu Biliyor Muydunuz?" şeklinde on bölüm altında düzenlenmiştir. Söz konusu bölümler sıklıkla güncellenmektedir. Görüldüğü kadarıyla özellikle son yıllarda bölümler, öğretmen ve araştırmacılardan oluşan yaklaşık 10 kişilik bir ekip tarafından hazırlanmaktadır. Fakat zaman zaman farklı araştırmacılar da içeriğe katkı sağlamıştır. Çalışmada bu bölümler ayrı birer başlık olarak ele alınıp incelenmiştir. Söz konusu bölümlerin her birinde bilimsel ve teknolojik konular çocuk ve gençlerin kolayca anlayabileceği bir dille aktarılmış ve konunun anlaşılırlığını destekleyen görsel malzeme kullanılmıştır. Multimedya olarak tasarlanan içerikte; sesli yayın ve video anlatımı, deney ve tasarım çalışmalarının uygulamalı anlatımı, söyleşiler ile alanında uzman konukların katılımı etkileşimi arttıran önemli unsurlardır. Yapılan incelemelerde dergi içeriğinin hitap ettiği yaş grubuna uygun düzenlendiği, çocukları sorgulamaya, araştırmaya ve bilimsel çalışmalar yapmaya teşvik ettiği, bilimsel merak duygusunu arttırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Fakat sayfa düzeni bakımından incelendiğinde dergide eski tarihli içeriğe ulaşmak zahmetlidir. Ayrıca yayının içeriğinde fen bilimleri ve teknoloji alanında yoğunlaşıldığı, sosyal bilimler alanına çok az yer verildiği görülmüştür. Bilginin devamlı olarak geliştiği ve değiştiği günümüz dünyasında, bilimsel gelişmelerin takibini sağlamak oldukça önem arz etmektedir. İlgi çekici popüler bilim yazıları ve içerikler ile bilginin izini "TÜBİTAK Bilim Genç" üzerinden sürmek oldukça faydalıdır. Bilim Genç gibi internet üzerinden dergi yayınlayan okuyucusuna öğretici içerik sunan dergiler, çocukların ve gençlerin öğrenme süreçlerini oldukça eğlenceli bir hale getirmektedir. Bu sayede çocuklar, internete erişim olan her ortamdan istediği bilgiye oldukça pratik ve kolay erişim sağlayabilmektedir.
The aim of the research is to examine popular science writing in the context of youth works and digital publishing. For this purpose, the articles, videos, etc. published on the website of Bilim Genç publication, which can be accessed through the web address of TÜBİTAK and social networks. By examining the contents, digital publishing, digital magazines, etc. with the literature review method. The concepts and related topics were examined. It has been seen that the studies conducted specifically for this publication are insufficient. Content in the journal; "Popular Science, Question and Answer, Design and Build, Earth, Astronomy, Experiments, Science Cartoon, Bilim Genç TV, Audio Broadcasting, Competitions and Did You Know?" organized under ten sections. These sections are frequently updated. As can be seen, especially in recent years, departments are prepared by a team of approximately 10 people consisting of teachers and researchers. But from time to time, different researchers also contributed to the content. In the study, these sections were handled and examined as separate titles. In each of the aforementioned sections, scientific and technological issues are conveyed in a language that children and young people can easily understand, and visual materials that support the intelligibility of the subject are used. In the content designed as multimedia; audio broadcasting and video narration, hands-on narration of experiment and design studies, interviews and participation of guests who are experts in their fields are important factors that increase interaction. In the examinations, it has been determined that the content of the magazine is arranged according to the age group it addresses, it encourages children to question, research and do scientific studies, and increases the sense of scientific curiosity. However, when it is examined in terms of page layout, it is difficult to reach the old-dated content in the magazine. In addition, it has been seen that the content of the publication is concentrated on the field of science and technology, and the field of social sciences is given little place. In today's world, where information is constantly developing and changing, it is very important to keep track of scientific developments. It is very useful to follow interesting popular science articles and contents and information through "TÜBİTAK Bilim Genç". Magazines, such as Bilim Genç, that publish magazines on the internet and offer educational content to their readers, make the learning processes of children and young people quite enjoyable.
