dc.description.abstractGraf teori yirminci yüzyılın başlarından itibaren yeni bir uygulama alanı olmuş ve disiplinler arası kullanımı ile de oldukça popüler bir alan haline gelmiştir. Graf teorinin en büyük avantajı sistemli çalışma olanağı ve dolayısıyla daha basit çözümler sağlamasıdır. Graf parametreleri ise Graf teorinin farklı alanlardaki çeşitli problemlerin çözümlerine aracı olmaktadır. Graf parametrelerinden topolojik indeksler ise sadece matematiksel yapılar ve teorik bilgisayar biliminde değil, aynı zamanda uygulamalı cebir ve kimyasal yapılarda da oldukça önemlidir. Dolayısıyla topolojik indeks konusu önemli bir çalışma alanı oluşturmaktadır. Bu tez çalışmasının birinci bölümünde Graf teoriye giriş yapılmıştır. Ardından tanımlar ve bazı temel sonuçlar verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde son yılların en hızlı gelişen graf parametrelerinden olan topolojik indeksler üzerine geniş bir literatür taraması ile çalışmaların özü açıklanmıştır. Devamında değişmeyen en eski ve çalışma alanı oldukça geniş olan köşe-derece bazlı topolojik indekslerden Zagreb indeksleri ile ilgili şimdiye kadar yapılan çalışmalar verilmiştir. Çalışmanın dördüncü ve beşinci bölümlerinde yeni topolojik indeksler üstel Zagreb indeksleri ve maksimal Zagreb indeksi tanımlanarak bu topolojik indekslerin analizleri yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın son bölümünde ise sonuç ve önerilere yer verilmiştir.
dc.description.abstractGraph theory has become a new field of application since the beginning of the twentieth century and has become a very popular field with its interdisciplinary use. The biggest advantage of graph theory is the opportunity to work systematically and therefore provide simplier solutions. On the other hand, graph parameters help graph theory to solve various problems in different fields. Topological indices, one of the graph parameters, are very important not only in mathematical structures and theoretical computer science, but also in applied algebra and chemical structures. Therefore, the topic of topological index constitutes an important field of study. In the first part of this thesis, graph theory was introduced. Then definitions and some basic results are given. In the third chapter, the essence of the studies is explained with an extensive literature review on topological indices, which are one of the fastest developing graph parameters of recent years. In the following, the studies carried out so far on the Zagreb indices, one of the oldest unchanged vertex-degree based topological indices with a very wide field of study, are given. In the fourth and fifth sections of the study, new topological indices, exponential Zagreb indices and maximal Zagreb index were defined and these topological indices were analyzed. In the last part of the study, results and recommendations are given.
