Özet
Günümüzde yabancı dil öğrenimi bir tercih değil zorunluluk hâlini almıştır. İnsanlar gerek sosyal hayatlarında gerekse iş hayatlarında sahip oldukları yabancı dillere göre değerlendirilmektedir. Türkçe de son yıllarda ülkemizin bulunduğu konum ve yükseköğretimdeki yaptığı atılımlar sayesinde önem kazanmıştır. Buna bağlı olarak yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi alanına son yıllarda ilgi oldukça artmıştır. Bu artışla beraber alanda yeni ihtiyaçlar ortaya çıkmaktadır. Yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi gelişmekte olan bir uzmanlık alanıdır. Yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi alanında kurumlar seviyelere uygun olarak hazırlanan ders ve çalışma kitaplarını kullanmaktadırlar. Bununla beraber yabancı dil olarak Türkçenin öğreniminde öğrencilerin gerek kurumlarda gerekse bireysel öğrenmelerini destekleyici alternatif metinlere ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Alternatif metinlerin seçiminde ise Türk kültürünü ve yaşayışını yansıtabilecek metinler üzerinde durulmalıdır. Yabancı dil öğrenimi hedef dilin kültüründen, yaşayışından ve inanışlarından bağımsız düşünülemeyeceğinden bu konu önem arz etmektedir. Bu noktadan hareketle yabancı öğrencilerin Türk kültürünü de öğrenebileceği metinlere ihtiyaç duyulduğu görülmüştür. Alandaki çalışmaların ihtiyacı karşılamada yeterli olmadığı düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, birçok Türk masalını okuyucuyla buluşturan Eflatun Cem Güney’in derlediği masalların yabancılara Türkçe öğretiminde B1-B2 seviyelerine uygun hâle getirilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Çalışma, yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretimi kapsamında Eflatun Cem Güney’in Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı Yayınları tarafından çıkarılan “Masallar” kitabındaki masallar hedef dil yapılarına göre düzenlenmiş, hedef seviyeye uygun olmayan sanatlı söyleyişler, mecazlar ve karmaşık yapılar seviyeye göre uyarlanmıştır. Metinlerde hedef dil seviyesine uygun olmayan dil yapıları Türkiye Maarif Vakfı’nın hazırlamış olduğu Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Öğretim Programı ve Avrupa Dilleri Ortak Çerçeve Metninde yer alan okuma kazanımlarına göre belirlenmiştir. Yunus Emre Enstitüsü tarafından hazırlanan Türkçe öğretim seviyesine ait kazanımlar göz önüne alınarak hedef dil yapıları belirlenmiştir. Bu çalışma Türk dilinin ve Türk kültürünün önemli taşıyıcılarından olan, Eflatun Cem Güney tarafından derlenen masalların yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenen öğrenciler için yardımcı okuma kitabı olarak kullanılması amaçlanmıştır.
Nowadays, foreign language learning has become a necessity, not a choice. People are evaluated according to the foreign languages they have both in their social lives and in their business lives. Turkish has also gained importance in recent years thanks to the position of our country and the breakthroughs it has made in higher education. Accordingly, interest in the field of teaching Turkish to foreigners has increased significantly in recent years. With this increase, new needs are emerging in the field. Teaching Turkish to foreigners is a developing field of expertise. In the field of teaching Turkish to foreigners, institutions use textbooks and workbooks prepared in accordance with the levels. However, alternative texts are needed to support students' individual learning both in institutions and in learning Turkish as a foreign language. In the selection of alternative texts, emphasis should be placed on texts that can reflect Turkish culture and life. This issue is of importance since foreign language learning cannot be considered independent of the culture, life and beliefs of the target language. Based on this point, it has been seen that there is a need for texts where foreign students can also learn about Turkish culture. It is considered that the studies in the field are not sufficient to meet the need. In this study, it is aimed to make the fairy tales compiled by Eflatun Cem Güney, who has brought many Turkish fairy tales to the reader, suitable for B1-B2 levels in teaching Turkish to foreigners. The study was conducted within the scope of teaching Turkish as a foreign language, the fairy tales in the book “Fairy Tales” published by the Publications of the Ministry of National Education of Eflatun Cem Güney were arranged according to the target language structures, artistic sayings, metaphors and complex structures that are not suitable for the target level were adapted according to the level. The language structures that are not suitable for the target language level in the texts have been determined according to the reading achievements contained in the Common Framework Text of the Turkish as a Foreign Language Curriculum and European Languages prepared by the Turkish Education Foundation. The target language structures have been determined by taking into account the achievements of the Turkish teaching level prepared by Yunus Emre Institute. This study is aimed to use the fairy tales compiled by Eflatun Cem Güney, one of the important carriers of the Turkish language and Turkish culture, as an auxiliary reading book for students learning Turkish as a foreign language.
