| dc.description.abstract | Gerçekçi Matematik Eğitimi (GME) matematik öğretimi açısından reformist bir eğitim yaklaşımıdır. Bu yaklaşım özünde sıklıkla rastlanan günlük yaşamdaki problem durumlarını matematik öğretimine entegre ederek öğrencilerin derse ve anlatılan konuya adaptasyonlarını optimize etme temasını barındırır. Araştırma kapsamında 7.sınıf oran orantı konusunda yenilikçi ve dinamik yapıdaki Gerçekçi Matematik Eğitimi (GME) yaklaşımının uygulanmasının incelenmesi ve GME yaklaşımının öğrencilerin matematik derslerindeki akademik başarılarına etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu noktada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ön test son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel yöntem kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde Konya ili Selçuklu ilçesindeki bir devlet ortaokulunda öğrenim gören 30 deney, 30 kontrol grubu öğrencisi olmak üzere toplam 60 adet yedinci sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada, grupların hazır bulunuşluğunu ve denkliğini tespit etmek için 6.sınıf oran orantı konusuna yönelik 10 adet çoktan seçmeli sorudan oluşan ön test uygulaması yapılmış ve test sonuçları analiz edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak grupların ön test puanları arasında anlamlı bir fark görülmemiştir. Ardından deney grubunda dersler GME yaklaşımı etkinlikleri ile işlenmiştir. Süreç sonunda her iki gruba 7.sınıf oran orantı konusu ile ilgili 10 soruluk çoktan seçmeli son test uygulaması yapılarak sonuçlar analiz edilmiştir. Son test sonuçları deney grubu lehine grupların son test puanları arasında anlamlı farkın olduğunu göstermiştir. Bu duruma dayanarak yapılan analizler neticesinde deney grubu lehine fark (erişi) puanlarının da anlamlı fark gösterdiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Tüm istatistiksel analizler için SPSS programı kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar ışığında GME yaklaşımı etkinlikleri ile yürütülen matematik derslerinin mevcut öğretim yaklaşımları ile yürütülen matematik derslerine göre öğrencilerin akademik başarıları üzerinde daha fazla etkili olduğu görülmüştür. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) is a reformist educational approach in terms of teaching mathematics. This approach essentially includes the theme of optimizing students' adaptation to the lesson and the subject taught by integrating frequently encountered daily life problem situations into mathematics teaching. Within the scope of the research, it was aimed to examine the implementation of the innovative and dynamic Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in the subject of ratio and proportion in the 7th grade and to investigate the effects of the RME approach on students' academic achievements in mathematics lessons. At this point, the quasi-experimental method with a pre-test post-test control group, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was used. The study group of the research consists of a total of 60 seventh grade students, 30 of whom are experimental and 30 of whom are control group students, studying at a public middle school in the Selçuklu district of Konya province in the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. In the research, in order to determine the readiness and equivalence of the groups, 10 multiple-choice pretests were applied on the 6th grade ratio and proportion topic and the test results were analyzed. As a result, no significant difference was observed between the pre-test scores of the groups. Then, in the experimental group, the lessons were taught with RME approach activities. At the end of the process, a 10-question multiple-choice posttest on the 7th grade ratio and proportion topic was applied to both groups and the results were analyzed. The posttest results showed that there was a significant difference in favor of the experimental group between the post-test scores of the groups. As a result of the analyses conducted based on this situation, it was concluded that the difference (reach) scores also showed a significant difference in favor of the experimental group. SPSS package program was used for all statistical analyses. On the basis of the findings obtained, it was seen that mathematics lessons conducted with RME approach activities were more effective on students' academic achievements than mathematics lessons conducted with current teaching approaches. | |
