The Zaporog Cossacks, under the administration of the Ukrainian Cossack Khetmanate, founded by Dmitro Vıshnevetsky in 1552, attacked Azov, Kerch, Kefe, Akkirman, Trabzon, Sinop and Istanbul on certain dates with their unique sea vessels. These attacks, based on plunder and looting, undoubtedly caused great trouble for the Crimean khans and Ottoman sultans. However, in 1648, with the appointment of Bohdan Khmelnytsky to the administration of the Ukrainian Cossack Khetmanate, a process of alliance emerged. So much so that, both during his time and during the reign of Petro Doroshenko, relations were strengthened with nationality and agreements. Thus, the rights of the Zaporog Cossacks were secured and the territorial integrity of the Ukrainian Cossack Khetmanate was defended against Poland and Tsarist Russia. However, the turbulent period that occurred within the state after the powerful hetmans weakened the Ukrainian Cossack Khetmanate. Finally, Tsarina II. Relations ended when Katerina began to invade Ukraine in 1764.
