dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada Batı'da Akıl Çağı olarak nitelenen Aydınlanma Çağının gerçek kurucularından biri olarak kabul edilen İngiliz filozofu John Locke'ın siyaset felsefesi açısından hala belirleyici olan, devlet ve birey hakkındaki görüşünü ortaya koymaya çalıştık. Bununla birlikte onun Modern dönemde meydana gelen değişim ve dönüşümlere siyaset felsefesi açısından nasıl etki ettiğini, doğa durumundan kopuşun ve bunun toplumun oluşumuna etkisi, devletin ortaya çıkışı ve devletin yükümlülükleri ile yönetim şekilleri hakkındaki görüşlerini de analiz etmeye çalıştık. Locke'un felsefesinin hareket noktasında birey yer aldığından kendi siyaset felsefesinin ağırlık merkezine bireyi yerleştirmiş ve bu çerçevede birey ve devlet ilişkisini açıklamaya çalışmıştır. Biz de birey ve devlet ilişkisine yönelik Locke'ın fikirlerini ele alarak analizini yaptık ve bu analizi daha anlaşılır kılmak ve bu çalışmamızı devlet-birey çerçevesinde anlamak için dünyevi devlet ve kilise ilişkisine değinerek, modern liberal sistemde devlet birey ilişkisini inceledik. Orta Çağ da Kutsal Devlet anlayışıyla oluşturulan sistemde birey arka plana atılmış ve her şeye boğun eğen itaatkar bir varlık olması istenmiştir. Devlet ise kilise-tanrı ekseninde varlığını sürdürmüş ve kilisenin etkisi altında olmuştur. Dolayısyla Locke, bütün eserlerinde mutlak otoriteye karşı çıkarak, kilise öğretisini ret etmiş, yeni dönemde önemli etkiler bırakacak, bireycilik, liberalizm, devletin sınırlamaları gibi konuları ele almıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this study, we tried to put forward the view of the British philosopher John Locke, who is accepted as one of the true founders of the Enlightenment Age, which is called the Age of Reason in the West, about the state and the individual, which is still decisive in terms of political philosophy. However, we also tried to analyze how it influenced the changes and transformations that took place in the Modern period in terms of political philosophy, the detachment from the state of nature and its impact on the formation of society, the emergence of the state, and its views on the obligations and forms of government. Since individual is at the starting point of Locke's philosophy, he placed this term in the centre of his political philosophy and tried to explain the relationship between individual and state. We analized Locke's thoughts through individual and state relations, in order to make this more understandable we touched on the reletionship of secular state, church and examined modern liberal system. In middle age, with the sense of sacred state system, individual was pushed aside and considered as an obedient entity, however state was under the influence of church. Accordingly Locke was against absolute authority in his studies and denied the discipline of church and tried to explain such subjects as liberalism, individualism and restriction of state.en_US
