Günlük altı binden on altı bine kadar ulaşan günlük yayın sayılarıyla birçok gazete yayın hayatını sürdürmüştür. Çalışmamızda II. Dünya Savaşı'nda Türkiye'yi etkileyebilecek olaylara Son Telgraf, Son Posta, Tasviri Efkâr, Vatan ve Yeni Sabah gazeteleri eşliğinde yer verip gazetelerin bu olayları nasıl anlattığını ve hangi noktalarına değindikleri anlatılmaya çalışılacaktır.
The Republic of Turkey followed a neutral policy in the Second World War to stay out of the war and minimize the harmful effects of the war. In order to ensure that the public's attitude is in this direction and to avoid misunderstandings to foreign states, the press and media organs were kept under state control, although there was no official censorship. Despite this controlled period, press life continued during the Second World War. Many newspapers continued their publication life with daily publication numbers reaching from six thousand to sixteen thousand. In our study, we will cover the events that could affect Turkey in the Second World War, together with the newspapers Son Telgraf, Son Posta, Tasviri Efkâr, Vatan and Yeni Sabah, and try to explain how the newspapers described these events and what points they touched upon.
