dc.description.abstractBu araştırmada okul öncesi dönem çocuklarına verilen satranç eğitiminin bilişsel ve sosyal davranışa etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Niğde il Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı Gönül Çiçeği anaokulunda eğitim gören çocuklar arasından seçilen 12 deneme ve 12 kontrol grubu olmak üzere 24 çocuk oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmacı tarafından deneme grubundaki çocuklara 12 hafta boyunca haftada iki saat olmak üzere satranç eğitimi verilmiş, çocuklarla birlikte satranç oynanmış ve çocukların birbirleri ile satranç oynamalarına rehberlik edilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Selçuk İşitsel Muhakeme ve İşlem Becerileri Testi ve Okul sosyal Davranış Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Ölçekler çocuklara satranç eğitimi öncesinde ve sonrasında uygulanmıştır. Ölçeklerden elde edilen verilerin analizinde araştırmanın amaçlarını test etmek amacıyla Mann Witney U analizi ve Wilcoxon İşaretli Sıralar Testi işlemleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar aşağıda özetlenmiştir: •Okul öncesi dönem çocuklarına verilen satranç eğitimi Selçuk İşitsel Muhakeme ve İşlem Becerileri Testi alt boyutlarını (genel bilgiler, analojik tamamlamalar, nedensel muhakeme, benzerlikler, aritmetik muhakeme ve sözel anlamsızlıklar) anlamlı düzeyde etkilemektedir. •Okul öncesi dönem çocuklarına verilen satranç eğitimi Okul Sosyal Davranış Ölçeği alt boyutlarından akademik beceriler alt boyutunu anlamlı düzeyde etkilemektedir. •Satranç okul öncesi dönem çocuklarına kolaylıkla öğretilebilir ve onlarla eğlenceli bir şekilde oynanabilir. Elde edilen bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda ulaşılan genel sonuç; okul öncesi dönem çocuklarına verilen satranç eğitimi çocukların bilişsel gelişimini olumlu düzeyde etkilemekte, sosyal gelişimine de katkı sağlamaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this study, the effect of chess education given during the preschool age on children's cognitive and social behaviors was examined. The study group of this study consisted of total of 24 children attending Gönül Çiçeği Preschool under Niğde Directorate of National Education. 12 of these children made up of the experimental group, 12 of the control group. The researcher taught the children in the experimental group chess for 12 weeks, two hours a week. He also played chess with them and guided them to play chess with each other. In the study, Selçuk Auditory Reasoning and Processing Skills Test and School Social Behavior Scale were used as data collection tools. The scales were administered to the children before and after the chess education. In order to test the study's purposes, Mann-Whitney U Test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test were used in the analysis of data obtained from the sales. The results obtained from the study are summarized below: •The chess education given to preschool children has a significant effect on the sub-dimensions of Selçuk Auditory Reasoning and Processing Skills Test (general information, analogical completion, causal reasoning, similarities, arithmetic reasoning and verbal incoherency). •The chess education given to preschool children has a significant effect on the academic skills sub-dimension of School Social Behavior Scale. •Chess can be easily taught to preschool children and can be played with them with fun. The general conclusion reached in line with these obtained is that results chess education given to children during preschool years positively affect children's cognitive development and contribute to their social development.en_US
