dc.description.abstractBu çalışma Eylül/ 1995 ile Eylül/ 1996 tarihleri arasında SÜ Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesinde yatan kronik hepatitli hastalarda seks hormon ve kortizol düzeylerini araştırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla 24'ü kadın, 28'i erkek 52 kronik hepatitli hasta ve 13'ü erkek, 19'u kadın 32 kontrol grubu vaka alınmıştır. Bu hastalarda karaciğer biyopsisi ve hepatit belirleyicileri ile kronik hepatit tanısı konduktan sonra serum kortizol ve seks hormonları (FSH, LU, progesteron, prolaklin, total testosteron, serbest testosteron, DHEA-S, östradiol) sabah alınan kan numuneleri ile çalışılmıştır. Kronik hepatitli hastalar ve kontrol grubunda seks hormonları ve kortizol değerleri normal sınırlar içerisinde olmasına rağmen serum kortizol ve DHEA-S düzeyleri kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı derecede düşük bulunmuştur (p < 0.05). Kronik hepatitli erkek hastalarda total ve serbest testosteron düzeyleri kontrol grubuna göre düşük bulunmuştur (p < 0.05). Kronik hepatitli kadın hastalarda ise sadece serbest testosteron düzeyleri normal kadınlardan düşük bulunurken (p < 0.05) total testosteron düzeyleri anlamlı bir farklılık göstermedi (p > 0.05). Erkeklerde FSH, LH, progesteron, prolaktin ve östradiol düzeyleri açısından kronik hepatitli hastalarla kontrol grubu arasında anlamlı bir fark görülmedi (p>0.05). Kadınlarda bu parametreler sadece post menapoz dönemde olan kronik hepatitli ve kontrol grubu kadınlar gözönüne alınarak değerlendirildi ve anlamlı bir fark görülmedi (p > 0.05). Globulin seviyesi kronik otoimmün hepatitli kadınlarda, diğer kronik hepatit tiplerine göre daha yüksek bulundu (p < 0.05). Diğer hormonal parametreler kronik hepatitin tipi ve etyolojisine göre anlamlı bir fark göstermedi (p > 0.05).en_US
dc.description.abstractThis study was performed to investigate levels of sex hormones and Cortisol in the serum obtained from patients who were admitted because of chronic hepatitis to the Department of Internal Medicine, Medical Faculty, Selçuk University, between September 1995 and September 1996. Fifty-two patients (28 male and 24 female) with chronic hepatitis and 32 (13 male and 19 female) healthy persons as a control group were included. After the diagnosis using hepatitis markers and examination of the liver biopsy, the sex hormones levels such as FSH, LH, progesterone, prolactin, total testosterone, free testosterone, DHEA-S and estradiol, and Cortisol level in the serum were examined in the fasting blood sample, in the morning. The results showed that sex hormones and Cortisol levels were in the normal range in the both groups. The senam Cortisol and DHEA-S levels were significantly lower in the chronic hepatitis group than in control group (p<0.05). The total and free testosteron levels were significantly lower in male patients with chronic hepatitis group than in control group (p < 0.05). Female patients with chronic hepatitis had lower free testosteron levels than in the control group based on the sex matched (p < 0.05). These values such as LH, FSH, progesterone, prolactin and estradiol in the female group who was in term of postmenapause, and in the control group were not significantly different (p > 0.05). The level of globulin were found higher in the female patients group with the chronic autoimmune hepatitis than in the female patients with other types of hepatitis (p < 0.05). Other hormone levels were were not different based on the chronic hepatitis types and their etiology (p > 0.05).en_US
