dc.description.abstract“Açık oy-gizli sayım” yöntemiyle gerçekleştirilen 1946 seçimleri başta Demokrat Partililer olmak üzere birçok kesim tarafından eleştirilmiştir. Bu nedenle 16 Şubat 1950’de kabul edilen “Yeni Seçim Kanunu” ile “gizli oy-açık sayım” yöntemi benimsenmiştir. “Yeni Seçim Kanunu’nun” kabul edilmesiyle partiler arası seçim yarışı başlamış ve 14 Mayıs 1950’de gerçekleştirilen genel seçimi Demokrat Parti kazanmıştır. Demokrat Parti’nin seçim vaatleri arasında basın özgürlüğünün yer alması birçok basın kuruluşunun 1950 milletvekili seçiminde Demokrat Parti’yi desteklemesinde etkili olmuştur. Ayrıca Demokrat Parti 1950’de çıkardığı Basın Kanunu ile basın üzerindeki hükümet denetimini büyük ölçüde kaldırmıştır. Bu nedenle basının verdiği destek Demokrat Parti iktidarının ilk yıllarında da devam etmiştir. Ülke genelindeki basın siyaset ilişkisi yerel basında da benzer şekilde etkisini göstermiştir. Bu çalışmada 14 Mayıs 1950 Genel Seçimine Konya’daki yerel gazetelerde ne şekilde yer verildiği üzerinde durulmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında, TBMM zabıt Cerideleri, T.C. Cumhurbaşkanlığı Devlet Arşivleri Başkanlığı Cumhuriyet Arşivi, Resmî Gazete, çeşitli kitap, makale, tez, bildiri ve gazetelerden faydalanılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe 1946 elections, which were held with the "open vote-secret count" method, were criticized by many segments, especially the Democrat Party members. For this reason, with the "New Election Law" adopted on February 16, 1950, the method of "secret ballot-open counting" was adopted. With the adoption of the "New Election Law", the election race between the parties started and the Democratic Party won the general election held on 14 May 1950. The freedom of the press among the Democratic Party's election promises was influential in the support of many press organizations in the 1950 parliamentary elections. In addition, the Democratic Party removed the government control over the press to a large extent with the Press Law enacted in 1950. For this reason, the support given by the press continued in the first years of the Democratic Party government. The relationship between the press and politics throughout the country had a similar effect on the local press. In this study, it is focused on how the 14 May 1950 General Election was covered in the local newspapers in Konya. Within the scope of the research, the minutes of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, T.C. Presidency State Archives Presidency Republic Archive, Official Newspaper, various books, articles, theses, papers and newspapers were used.en_US
