Özet
Bu çalışma Midyat yöresinde yaşayan lise öğrencilerinin etnobotanik hakkındaki farkındalıklarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2023-2024 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında Mardin ili Midyat ilçesinde bulunan Söğütlü Anadolu lisesi ve Şenköy Anadolu lisesinde öğrenim gören toplam 144 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırma nicel ve nitel verilerin kullanıldığı karma bir çalışmadır. Araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla Mardin yöresinde yapılmış etnobotanik çalışmalar incelenerek kullanımı yaygın olan bitkiler belirlenmiştir. Bitkiler ve kullanım alanlarıyla ilgili bilgi almak için çalışmada veriler iki şekilde toplanmıştır. Birincisi 37 maddeden oluşan likert tipi anket, ikincisi dört maddeden oluşan açık uçlu soru anketi. Anketlerden elde ettiğimiz verilerin analizleri yapılarak grafik ve tablo oluşturulup yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma bulgularında öğrencilerin bitkiler ile ilgili bilimsel çalışmaların yapıldığı hakkındaki farkındalıklarının iyi seviyede olduğu ancak etnobotanik bilim dalı hakkındaki farkındalıklarının düşük seviyede olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yöredeki bitkiler ve kullanım amacı/şekli hakkındaki bulgularda buğday, incir, üzüm gibi gıda şeklinde tüketilen ve ekonomik değeri olan bitki türlerinin doğal şekilde yetişen bitki türlerinden daha fazla bilindiği belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerden derinlemesine bilgi almak amacıyla uygulanan ve dört maddeden oluşan açık uçlu soru anketinin bulguları incelendiğinde; Kullandıkları bitkiler, kullanım amacı ve şekli sorusunda öğrencilerin çoğunun üzüm, buğday, papatya, incir, hatmi, acı yavşan otu türlerini gıda ve çay şeklinde kullandıkları belirlenmiştir. Bitkileri ve kullanım şekillerini nereden öğrendikleri sorusunda, öğrencilerin daha çok büyüklerinden ve nesilden nesile aktarılarak öğrendikleri belirlenmiştir. Tıbbi amaçla kullanılan bitkilerin yaygın olup olmadığı ve bu konu hakkındaki görüşleri sorusunda, öğrencilerin çoğunun kullanılan bitkilerin yaygın olduğu ve faydalı olduğu görüşünde oldukları belirlenmiştir. Yöredeki bitkileri en çok hangi şekilde kullandıkları sorusunda ise öğrencilerin yöredeki bitkileri en çok çay, gıda ve ilaç şeklinde tercih ettikleri belirlenmiştir.
This study was conducted to determine the ethnobotanical values of high schools living in Midyat regions. The scope of the research was comprised of a total of 144 students living in Söğütlü Anatolian High School and Şenköy Anatolian High School in Midyat district of Mardin province in the 2023-2024 academic year. The research is a mixed study of quantitative and qualitative registered industry. In order to collect data in the research, ethnobotanical studies conducted in the Mardin region were examined and the plants commonly used were determined. Data was collected in two ways to obtain information about plants and their areas of use. The first is a Likert type survey consisting of 37 items, the second is an open circle questionnaire consisting of four items. The analyzes of the data obtained from the surveys were created graphically and a table was created and interpreted. It has been reached that the region where the statistical events related to the plants in the places where the research is stored is at good levels, but the conditions of the ethnobotany branch of science are at the initial low levels. It has been determined that the characteristics of the plants in the region and their intended use/form, such as wheat, figs and grapes, which are consumed as food and have economic value, are more known than naturally growing plant species. Development of an open-ended question survey consisting of four items applied to obtain information from students; In terms of the plants they use, their purposes and forms of use, most of them are clustered as grape, wheat, chamomile, fig, marshmallow, bitter gourd as food and tea. Regarding where they learned the plants and their use, it was determined that they were mostly learned from their elders and from generations to generations. It was determined whether the distribution used for medical purposes was widespread and in this issue distribution, the application used by many people was common and was considered useful. It was determined in what form they were found most in the plants in the region, and in the plants in the region they were most preferred in the form of tea, food and medicine.
