| dc.description.abstract | Daha çok edebi eser niteliği ile araştırılan Mevlid, bu çalışmada hafıza, ritüel kavramları üzerinden yeniden konu edilmektedir. Köklü bir geleneğe sahip olan, toplumun önemli gördüğü ritüellerle beraber icra edilen, Mevlidin toplumsal hafıza ile ilişkisi üzerinde durulmaktadır. Mevlid geleneği üzerine sosyolojik bir inceleme olarak yapılmış bu çalışma, üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, Mevlid kavramı, Osmanlı ve günümüzde Mevlid geleneği ve Mevlidin edebi niteliğine değinilmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci kısmında ise, hafıza kavramı, hatırlama ve unutma biçimleri, ritüel, mekân, tarih, dil ve kültürün hafıza ile ilişkisi üzerinde durulmuştur. Mevlid, din, ritüel, mekân, melodi gibi unsurlarla hatırlama ve unutma açısından sosyolojik incelemeye konu edilmiştir. İçinde bulundurduğu bedensel pratiklerle birlikte, belli bir mekânı çerçevelemesi Mevlidin hafıza inşa edici unsur olduğu, örneklerle ifade edilmiştir. Üçüncü kısımda ise mülakat sorularından ve birebir yapılan görüşmelerden alınan veriler değerlendirilmiştir. Bu bağlamda Türk toplumu için doğumdan itibaren ölüme dek süregelen önemli bir etkinlik olarak görülen Mevlide, sevap almak düşüncesi, ibadet ve gelenek gibi anlam yüklenerek cami ve ev mekânlarında icra edilmiştir. Bu mekânlar, din ile kurulan bağ vasıtasıyla hafıza ve anıları muhafaza etme açısından önemli işleve sahip olmuştur. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Mostly studied within literature, Mevlid, is re-examined in this study within the concepts of ritual and memory. The relationship between the memory and social memory, which has a deep-rooted tradition and is performed with the rituals considered by the society, is emphasized. This study is a sociological study on the Mevlid tradition, consisting of three parts. The first part of the study approaches the concept of the Mevlid, the Ottoman and the Mevlid tradition and the literary character of the Mevlid. In the second part of the study, the concept of memory, different forms of remembering and forgetting, the relation of ritual, environment, history, language and culture with memory are emphasized. Mevlid is subjected to sociological examination in terms of remembering and forgetting within concepts such as religion, ritual, environment and melody. In addition to the bodily practices that it contains, it is stated that the structure of Mevlid itself is a memory building element. In the third part, data from interview questions and one-on-one interviews were evaluated. In this context, Mevlid, which is considered as an important activitiy from birth to death for he Turkish society, has been performed in mosques and home spaces by giving meaning such as worship and tradition. These places have important functions in terms of preserving memory and memories through the connection with religion. | en_US |
