dc.description.abstractStandart iktisat teorisinin akılcı olarak tasavvur ettiği insan, kendisine biçilen rol gereği faydasını ençoklaştırma peşinde olan ve bu amacını gerçekleştirirken her koşulda öz çıkarını gözeten bir varlık olarak tasarlanmıştır. Halbuki, insan; zaman, mekân ve dahil olduğu sosyal bağlamdan kopuk, davranışları mükemmel bir biçimde öngörülebilen birer bilgisayar yazılımı değildir. Bu doğrultuda, iktisatta davranışsal yaklaşım, standart iktisat teorisinin akılcı ve bencil davranan birey varsayımının aksine birey davranışlarının temelinde bilişsel ve sosyal etkilerin de bulunduğunu hesaba katmış, bireyin; altruistik, yardımsever veya prososyal davranışlar da sergileyebileceğini göstermiştir. Bu haliyle, davranışsal iktisat, standart teorilerin açıklama gücünün artırılarak gerçeğe yakınsaması yolunda bir kapı açmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın öncelikli amacı, bireyin sahip olduğu gelir düzeyinin prososyal davranış üzerinde herhangi bir etkisinin olup olmadığını ampirik açıdan incelemektir. Buna ek olarak, bireyin ait olduğu sosyo-ekonomik ve demografik koşulların da prososyal davranma eğilimine olası etkileri gözönünde bulundurulmuştur. Bu doğrultuda, bireyin prososyal davranma eğiliminin ölçülebilmesi adına anket ve deney yöntemleri kullanılmış olup, elde edilen veriler ile genelleştirilmiş sıralı lojistik regresyon analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe human, which is described as rational by the standard economic theory, is designed as an entity that seeks to maximize his/her utility in accordance with the role assigned to it, and in any case takes into account his/her interests. However, human is not a software that is disconnected from time, space and social context and whose behavior is perfectly predictable. In this direction, behavioral approach in economics has taken into account that cognitive and social effects are the basis of individual behaviors in contrast to the rational and selfish individual assumption of standard economic theory. Behavioral economics has shown that an individual may exhibit altruistic, benevolent or prosocial behaviors. As such, behavioral economics opens the door to convergence with the truth by increasing the power of explanation of standard theories. The primary purpose of this study is to examine empirically whether the individual's income level has any effect on prosocial behavior. In addition, the possible effects of socio-economic and demographic conditions of the individual to the prosocial behavior are taken into consideration. Accordingly, questionnaire and testing procedure are used to measure the individual's prosocial behaviour tendency and generalized ordinal logistic regression analysis is applied with the collected data.en_US
