| dc.description.abstract | Türk kültür ve tarihi açısından önemli bir yere ve değere sahip olan Türkistan bölgesi her dönem birçok gücün mücadele alanı olmuştur. Sahip olduğu doğal kaynaklar ve merkezi konumu sayesinde önceleri bölgede yayılmacı bir politika izleyen Rusların hedefi, daha sonra ise Hindistan güvenliği ve transit konumu sayesinde İngiliz politikaları için önemli bir unsur haline gelmiştir. İngilizlerin Türkistan bölgesine duydukları ilgi özellikle Rus devrimleri sonrasında daha da artmıştır. Tüm Asya kıtasında başta petrol olmak üzere birçok ticari ve stratejik menfaati bulunan İngilizler, Çarlık Rusya'sının çöküşü ve yaşanan devrimler ile bölgeye askerî açıdan müdahale etme fırsatı yakalamışlardır. Bölgedeki çatışma ortamından faydalanmak isteyen İngilizler Türkistan'ın birçok merkezinde istihbarat faaliyetlerini artırmış, bölgeyi hem siyasi hem de askerî açıdan incelemişlerdir. Bolşevik ideolojinin İngilizler açısından bir tehdit unsuru haline gelmesi ile birlikte müdahale kararı veren İngiliz yetkililer bir yandan kuzeyde operasyonlara başlarken bir yandan da Türkistan bölgesini ele geçirmek üzere General Malleson komutasındaki askeri birlikleri bölgeye göndermişleridir. Çalışmamızda İngiliz askeri ve siyasi bürolarının çok gizli raporları çerçevesinde İngilizlerin Türkistan bölgesine yönelik siyasi ve askeri politikaları ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca bu politikaların geliştiği dönem, uluslararası siyasal durum, ideolojiler, güvenlik kaygıları, arka planda çalışan ancak gerçek mücadeleleri yürüten gizli servisler ve faaliyetleri incelenmiştir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Turkestan region, which has an important place and value in terms of Turkish culture and history, has been the area of the struggle of many forces every period. Because of its natural resources and its central location, it has been the target of the Russians who are following an expansionist policy in the region. it has become an important element for British policy, thanks to its safety and transit status. The interest of the British in the Turkestan region has increased especially after the Russian revolutions. The British, who had many commercial and strategic interests, primarily in oil, had the opportunity to intervene in the region after the collapse of Tsarist Russia and the revolutions that followed. The British, who wanted to take advantage of the conflict environment in the region, increased their intelligence activities in many centres of Turkestan and examined the region from both political and military point of view. With the Bolshevik ideology becoming a threat for the British, the British authorities decided to intervene in the north, while they also sent military units under the command of General Malleson to seize the Turkestan region. In our study, the political and military policies of the British to the Turkestan region were discussed within the framework of the secret reports of the British military and political offices. In addition, the period during which these policies were developed, international political situation, ideologies, security concerns, secret services and activities that worked in the background but carried out real struggles were examined. | en_US |
