Hafnium Klorür'un normospermik vakaların sperm viabilite ve motilite parametreleri üzerine etkisinin araştırılması

Özet
Hafnium alaşımları, biyo uyumlulukları ve yüksek korozyon direnci nedeniyle tıbbi uygulamalarda kullanılmaktadır. Sarkom tedavisinde kullanılmıştır. Cerrahi implantlarda osteojenik ve antimikrobiyal etkinlikleri gösterilmiştir. COVID-19'un tespiti için hafnium nanoparçacıklarına dayalı bir sensör bildirilmiştir. Kullanım alanları artmaya devam eden hafniumun literatür taramalarında hem insan hem de hayvan türleri üzerindeki sperm etkilerine dair bir çalışmaya rastlanmamıştır. Semen örnekleri DSÖ 2010 kriterlerine göre analiz edilmiştir. 20 normospermik örnek çalışmaya dahil edildi. Yıkama ve santrifüj sonrası kontrol, hafnium klorür 2 mg/ml ve 4 mg/ml olmak üzere 3 grup oluşturuldu. Tüm gruplar 20. ve 40. dakikalarda hareketlilik ve canlılık açısından değerlendirildi. Çalışma grubunda sperm canlılık değerlerinin doz ve zaman arttıkça düştüğü saptandı (p<0,001). Sperm toplam hareketlilik ve ileri hareketlilik değerlerinin de doz ve zaman arttıkça anlamlı şekilde azaldığı saptandı (p<0,001). Bu çalışmada hafnium klorürün sperm hareketliliği ve canlılığı üzerine olumsuz etkileri olduğu saptandı. Bu elementin kullanıldığı aletlerde potansiyel bir tehlike olduğu kanıtlanmıştır. Ülke düzenlemelerinin bu konuda hassasiyet göstermesi halk sağlığı açısından önemlidir.
Hafnium alloys are used in medical applications due to their biocompatibility and high corrosion resistance. Osteogenic and antimicrobial activities have been demonstrated in surgical implants. It has been used in the treatment of sarcoma. A sensor based on hafnium nanoparticles has been reported for the detection of COVID-19. In the literature review of hafnium, whose usage areas continue to increase, no study has been found on the effects of sperm on both human and animal species. Semen samples were analyzed according to WHO 2010 criteria. Twenty normospermic specimens were included in the study. After washing and centrifugation, 3 groups were formed as control, hafnium chloride 2 mg/ml and 4 mg/ml. Motility and viability were checked in all groups at the 20th and 40th minutes. In the study group, sperm viability values decreased as the dose and time increased (p<0,001). Sperm total motility and progressive motility values were also found to decrease significantly as the dose and time increased (p<0,001). In this study, it was determined that hafnium chloride had negative effects on sperm motility and viability. It has been demonstrated that there is a potential danger in instruments containing this element. It is important for public health that country regulations show sensitivity in this regard.
