| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışma, sağlık turizmi kapsamında engelli turizmine odaklanarak, konaklama işletmelerinde engelli bireylere sunulan hizmetlerin değerlendirilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, 2025 yılı Ocak–Nisan ayları arasında Konya ilinde ikamet eden ve geçmişte dört ve beş yıldızlı konaklama işletmelerinden hizmet almış 401 engelli birey kapsamaktadır. Çalışmada, fiziksel, işitsel ve görsel engel türlerine sahip bireylerin görüşleri, nicel araştırma yöntemiyle ve yapılandırılmış bir ölçek aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Hipotez testleri sonucunda, yalnızca medeni durum değişkeninin hizmet algısı üzerinde anlamlı bir fark yarattığı, diğer sosyo-demografik değişkenlerin (cinsiyet, yaş, gelir, eğitim, engel türü vb.) anlamlı bir etki göstermediği belirlenmiştir. Bulgular, konaklama işletmelerinde fiziksel erişilebilirlik açısından kısmi iyileşmeler olduğunu, ancak işitsel ve görsel engelli bireylerin ihtiyaçlarına yönelik hizmetlerin yetersiz kaldığını göstermektedir. Araştırma, engelli dostu turizm hizmetlerinin geliştirilmesine yönelik sektörel ve yönetsel öneriler sunarak literatüre katkı sağlamaktadır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This study focuses on accessible tourism within the broader framework of health tourism, aiming to evaluate the services provided to individuals with disabilities in accommodation establishments. The sample of the research consists of 401 individuals with disabilities residing in the province of Konya, who have previously received services from four- and five-star accommodation facilities. The data were collected between January and April 2025 using a quantitative research method and a structured scale, based on the opinions of individuals with physical, auditory, and visual impairments. The hypothesis testing revealed that only the variable of marital status had a statistically significant effect on service perception, while other socio-demographic variables (such as gender, age, income, education, and type of disability) did not show any meaningful differences. The findings indicate that although there have been partial improvements in terms of physical accessibility in accommodation establishments, services targeting the specific needs of individuals with auditory and visual impairments remain inadequate. This study contributes to the academic literature by offering sectoral and administrative recommendations aimed at enhancing disability-friendly tourism services. | |
