Özet
Çocuğun karakter oluşumu ve gelişiminde 4-6 yaş döneminin özel bir yeri vardır. Bu dönemde çocuğa verilmesi planlanan eğitimin çocuğun fiziksel, dil, bilişsel, duygusal ve dini gelişim özelliklerine uygun olması gereklidir. Tüm değerlerde olduğu gibi merhamet değeri de bu dönemde korunması ve geliştirilmesi gereken duygulardandır. Bu çalışmada, çocuğun katılımı ve eğlenmesi sağlanarak, 4-6 yaş dönemindeki çocuklara merhamet eğitiminin nasıl verilebileceği ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde; 4-6 yaş çocuklarının gelişim özellikleri incelenmiş, merhamet kavramı kapsamlı bir şekilde ele alınmıştır. Merhametin tanımı, kaynağı ve merhametle ilişkisi olan değerler ayrıntılı bir şekilde açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde; araştırmanın yöntemine yer verilmiştir. Burada araştırmanın modeli, evren ve çalışma grubu, veri toplama aracı veri ve veri toplama süreci kısaca anlatılmıştır. Araştırmanın önemli kısmını ihtiva eden üçüncü bölümde 4-6 yaş dönemindeki çocuklara merhamet eğitiminin nasıl verilebileceği konusunda bir çerçeve oluşturulmuş ve merhamet eğitimi üzerine çocuklarla yapılan etkinlik örneklerine yer verilmiştir. Aynı zamanda her etkinlik sonunda çocuklara sorulan sorular ve verdikleri cevaplara yer verilmiş, bu cevaplara yönelik yorumlar yapılmıştır. Yapılan etkinliklerin, çocuklarda merhamet kavramının gelişmesine katkıda bulunduğu ve merhamet davranışları gösterme konusunda onları desteklediği görülmüştür.

The education planned to be given to the child in this period should be in accordance with the physical, language, cognitive, emotional and religious development characteristics of the child. As in all values, the value of compassion is one of the feelings that protect and develop in this period. In thıs study is discussed, how to provide compassion education to children in the age of 4-6 years by providing child participation and entertainment. This study consists of three parts. In the first part; the developmental characteristics of 4-6 years old children were examined and the concept of compassion was comprehensively discussed. The definition or compassion, its source and the values associated with compassion are explained in detail. In the second part; the method of the research is adressed. Here, the research model, universe and working group, data collection tool and data collection process are briefly explained. In the third part, which contains the important part of the study, a framework has been established on how compassion education can be given to children in the age of 4-6 years and examples of activities with children on compassion education are adressed. At the same time, at the end of each activity, questions and answers were given to the children and comments were made. It was seen that the activities contributed to the development of the concept of compassion in children and supported them in showing compassion behaviors.
