dc.description.abstractÇalışmada batıyla özdeşleşen medeniyet kavramı sorgulanarak kavram, İslam Şehri bağlamında yeniden ifade edilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda İslam Şehirleri’nin de dönem tayini ve anlamlandırılması yapılmaktadır. İslam Şehirleri’nin sosyo-mekânsal unsurlarının somut olarak ortaya konduğu çalışmada dünyadaki İslam Şehirleri’nden örneklerle günümüzde Bitlis, Kubbet’ül İslam Ahlat, Diyarbakır, Urfa ve Mardin şehirleri de incelenmektedir. Bu inceleme İslam Şehirleri’nin sosyo-mekânsal unsurları üzerinden kapitalizm, modernizm ve post- modernizm bağlamında yapılmaktadır. Tüm bunlarla birlikte amaç, İslam Şehirleri’ndeki değişim ve dönüşümü şehrin sosyo mekânsal görünümü üzerinden ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmanın önemi ise, İslami esaslara uygun olarak inşa edilmiş ve pek çok şehirde bulunan cami, hamam, çarşı, evler ve sokaklar gibi yapıların İslam Şehri modellemesi üzerinden yeterince çalışılmamış olmasında saklıdır. Anlatılan doğrultuda çalışma geniş bir literatür ile desenlenmiştir. Temel olarak nitel bir veri analiz yöntemi olan doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntem sayesinde şehirlerin güncel durumu ortaya koyulmuştur. Nihai olarak ise, İslam Şehir tecrübesi olan şehirlerin bugün kapitalist üretim sistemi çıktıları ile özellikle modernizm bağlamında dönüştüğü gözlemlenmiştir. Bu gözlem: Şehirdeki değişim ve dönüşümün, şehirlerin kimliğine etki ettiği; toplumun tarih, dil ve kültür geçmişiyle bağını zayıflatabileceğine dayanmaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe concept of civilization identified with the West is questioned and re-expressed in the context of the Islamic City, in the study. Period determination and interpretation of Islamic Cities are also made accordingly. In this study, the socio-spatial elements of Islamic Cities were confined concretely. The study also examines the cities of Bitlis, Kubbet'ül İslam Ahlat, Diyarbakır, Urfa, and Mardin, with examples from Islamic Cities in the world. This examination is carried out in the context of capitalism, modernism, and post-modernism through the socio-spatial elements of Islamic Cities. Along with all these, the purpose is to reveal the change and transformation in Islamic Cities through the city's socio-spatial perspective. The significance of the study lies in the fact that structures such as mosques, baths, bazaars, houses, and streets, which were built in accordance with Islamic principles and located in many cities, have not been satisfactorily studied through Islamic City modeling. Consequently, the study was designed with a wide literature. The document analysis method, which is a qualitative data analysis method, was used essentially. This method has enabled us to reveal the current status of the cities. Finally, it has been observed that cities with Islamic City experience are transformed today, especially in the context of modernism, with the outputs of the capitalist production system. This observation: The change and transformation in the city affects the identity of the cities; It is based on the fact that it can weaken the bond of society with its history, language and cultural background.en_US
