dc.description.abstractBu araştırmanın amacı ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin matematiksel problem çözme faaliyetleri esnasında ortaya koydukları davranış ve ifadeler aracılığıyla problemi anlama ve tahminde bulunma süreçlerindeki üstbilişsel becerileri kullanma düzeylerini belirlemektir. Araştırmada, öğrencilerin problem çözme durumlarında ne yaptıklarının belirlenmesi, üstbiliş beceri ve problem çözme süreçlerinin derinlemesine incelenmesi amaçlandığından araştırma konusunun kendi doğal ortamı içerisinde ve katılımcıların perspektifinden incelenmesini sağlayan nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum (örnek olay) çalışması kullanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda öğrencilerle klinik mülakatlar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu Kastamonu ilindeki bir devlet okulunda öğrenim görmekte olan 15 ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen “Matematiksel Problem Çözme Süreçlerinde Bilişsel ve Üstbilişsel Davranış Sınıflandırma Formu” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre problem çözme süreçlerinde daha başarılı olan öğrencilerin üstbilişsel davranışları diğer öğrencilere göre daha fazla işe koştukları görülmüştür.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this research is to determine the level of using metacognitive skills in the process of understanding the problem and predicting through the behaviors and expressions of the primary 4th grade students during their mathematical problem solving activities. In the research, the case study was used from the qualitative research methods because it was aimed to determine what students are doing in problem solving situations, metacognition skills and problem solving processes in depth which enables the research question was examined within its natural environment and from the perspectives of participants. In this context, clinical interviews were conducted with the students. The study group consisted of 15 primary school 4th grade students studying at a public school in Kastamonu. "Cognitive and Metacognitive Behavior Classification Form in Mathematical Problem Solving Processes" was developed by researchers used as data collection tool in the research. Descriptive analysis technique was used in the analysis of the obtained data. According to the results of the research, it is seen that the students who are more successful in the problem solving process have more metacognitive behaviors than the other students.en_US
