Ares Hacıları her yıl yaz mevsiminde Ares’te bulunan Maison de la Sainte Parole (Kutsal Söz Evi)’ü ziyaret ederek hac ibadetini yerine getirirler. Hareketin “The Gospel Delivered in Arès” (Ares’te Verilen İncil) ve “The Book” (Kitap) isimleriyle iki kutsal metni vardır ve bunlar tefsirleriyle birlikte “The Revelation of Arés” (Ares Vahyi) adıyla da basılmıştır.
The subject of the article is a new religious movement that emerged in France, known as “The Pilgrims of Arès” (Les pèlerins d’Arès). The Pilgrims of Arés is the common name of the movement. The movement got its name from a visit to Arès (Gironde, Bordeaux) in south-west France, which is believed to be the place where its founder Michel Potay received his revelations. The subject has been put forward in general terms within the framework of the new religious movement. Accordingly, its emergence, ritual and worship center, belief system and holy books are the general subjects of research. It was seen that this new religious movement formed the backbone of its own teaching by interpreting the Christian teaching according to itself, was influenced by the Islamic idea of God and the prophethood of Muhammad, approached other religions warmly and aimed for social progress with feelings such as love. It is not possible to give precise information about the member population of the movement, but it is estimated between 500-2000. This movement has its own holy book and pilgrimage center. Another feature of the movement is that it accepts other religions, especially Islam, as sacred. Arès Pilgrims perform their pilgrimage by visiting the Maison de la Sainte Parole (House of the Holy Word) in Arès every year during the summer season. The movement has two scriptures, “The Gospel Delivered in Arès” and “The Book”, which, together with their commentaries, have been published as “The Revelation of Arés”.
