dc.description.abstractGünümüzde, toplumsal gelişmelere bağlı olarak dişlerin ağızda kalma süreleri uzadıkça dentin hassasiyetinin görülme sıklığı da artmıştır. Dentin hassasiyeti; herhangi bir dental defekt ya da patoloji ile açıklanamayan, dişin termal, kimyasal, mekanik ya da osmotik uyarılarla karşılaşması sonucu ekspoze dentin yüzeyinde oluşan akut, ani, keskin ve kısa süreli bir ağrı şeklinde tanımlanmaktadır. Dentin hassasiyetinin teşhisi sübjektif yöntemlere dayandığından tedavi şeklinin belirlenmesi de güçtür. Tedavi amacıyla evde ya da hekim tarafından uygulanan pek çok materyal ve yöntem geliştirilmiştir. Fakat bu tekniklerin başarıya ulaşabilmesi için etiyoloji ve risk faktörlerinin elimine edilmesi öncelikli olmalıdır. Bu derlemede hassasiyete sebep olan faktörlerin giderilmesine ya da değiştirilmesine yönelik oluşturulan tedavi planlaması ve aralarında pro-arjin ve novamin gibi yeni geliştirilmiş teknolojiler ile lazerlerin de yer aldığı tedavi yöntemleri anlatılmaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractToday; depending on social development, residence time in the mouth of the teeth is extended. Consequently, incidence of dentin hypersensitivity is increased. Dentin hypersensitivity is defined as a acute, sudden, sharp and brief pain of exposed dentin in response to thermal, chemical, mechanical and osmotic stimulus that cannot be referred to any other dental defect or pathology. The diagnosis of dentin hypersensitivity is based on subjective methods. So, determining the treatment method is difficult. Many materials and methods applied at the home or by the clinician for treatment is developed. But, eliminating the etiology and risk factors should be a priority to achieve success of these techniques. In this review; the treatment plan for elimination or replacement of factors that cause sensitivity and the treatment techniques which includes Pro-arginine and Novamin, newly developed techonologies, and lasers are mentioned.en_US
