Özet
Kısa hikâye on dokuzuncu yüzyılda dünya edebiyatında yeni bir tür olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. İlerleyen süreçte Arap edebiyatında farklı coğrafyalarda da kısa hikâye tarzında eserler verilmiştir. Ülfet el-İdlibî 1912-2007 yılları arasında yaşamış önemli bir Suriyeli hikâyecidir. Makalede öncelikle kısa hikâyenin yeni bir tür olarak Arap edebiyatında ve Suriye’de nasıl bir zeminde ortaya çıktığı ele alınmış, daha
sonra kıssa kasîranın genel özelliklerine ve kısa hikâyede bulunan temel unsurlara değinilmiştir. Suriye’de kısa hikâyeciliğin öncülerinden sayılan Ülfet el-İdlibî’nin hayatı, edebî kişiliği ve kaleme aldığı eserleri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Suriyeli öykücünün “Vedâ‘an Yâ Dımaşk” adlı hikâye koleksiyonuna ismini veren kısa hikâyenin tematik ve teknik yönden edebî bir tahlili yapılmaya gayret edilmiştir. “Elveda Ey Dımaşk” adlı öykünün teması aşktır. Öykü, gençken âşık olduğu kadına kavuşamayan ve bu nedenle de iki defa ülkesini terk etme girişiminde bulunan bir adamın hayatını konu edinir. Hikâyede satır aralarında gizlenen başka hususlar da vardır. Bunlar, Şam’ın o dönemdeki sosyal ve dinî yaşantısı hakkında bize ipuçları
vermekte, ayrıca gelenek ve modernite arasında karşılaştırma yapma imkânı sağlamaktadır.
The short story emerged as a new genre in world literature in the nineteenth century. In the following process, Arabic literature has also been given short storystyle works in different geographies. Ulfat al-Idlibi is an important Syrian storyteller who lived between 1912-2007. Firstly is discussed how the short story emerged as a new genre in the what of Arabic lıterature and Syria then the general features of the parable and the basic elements in the short story are mentioned. An effort has been made to make a literary analysis of the thematic and technical aspects of the short story, which gave its name to the story collection of the Syrian storyteller " Farawell Damascus ". The theme of the story called "Farawell Damascus" is love. He takes the life of a man who attempts to leave his country twice because the woman he loves cannot be reunited. There are other issues hidden between the lines in the story. These tell us about the social and religious life of Damascus at that time gives tips and also, it provides to make comparisons between tradition and modernity.
