Pure uterine lipoma is a very rare benign mesenchymal neoplasm and only a few cases have been reported in the literature. This is in contrast to leiomyoma, which is not only the most common neoplasm of the uterus but also one of the most common tumours in women, estimated to occur in 20-40 of women beyond the age of 30 years and more frequently affect postmenopausal women. Lipomatous uterine tumors are uncommon benign neoplasms, with incidence ranging from 0.03 to 0.2. Patients can be misdiagnosed and confused with leiomyoma preoperatively, after histopathological examination final and definitive diagnosis is revealed their histogenesis remains controversial. Several pathogenic mechanisms may underlie the presence of adipocytes within leiomyomas, because adipose tissue doesn't exist in uterus. In this article, a 40 -year-old patient who has been operated with preliminary diagnosis of leiomyoma and histopathological examination showed lipom.
