Özet
Çağımızda sağlık sektöründe yaşanan önemli gelişmelere tıbbi cihaz teknolojisinin hızlı ilerleyişi öncülük etmektedir. Hastalıkların teşhis ve tedavisinde tıbbi cihazların tıp bilimine sağladığı katkı, tıbbi gelişmelerin yönünü belirlemektedir. Günümüzde hastaların tedavi tercihlerini önemli ölçüde etkileyen tıbbi cihaz teknolojisi, bu teknolojiye sahip olan ve olmayan sağlık kuruluşları arasında da rekabet çıtasını oldukça yükseltmiştir. Gittikçe küreselleşen dünyada ise aynı durum ülkeler için de söz konusudur. Tıbbi cihaz teknolojilerine öncelik vererek Ar-Ge yatırımlarının önemli bir kısmını bu sektöre ayıran ülkeler, ekonomilerine de yön vererek gelişmişlik düzeylerini artırmaktadır. Bu çalışma ile, dünya tıbbi cihaz sektöründeki gelişmeleri yakından takip eden Türkiye'de Avrupa Birliği'ne üyelik süreci de gözönüne alınarak medikal teknolojinin öneminin daha iyi anlaşılabilmesini ve Türkiye'de tıbbi cihaz sektörünün geliştirilebilmesi noktasında öneriler getirmek suretiyle katkı sağlamak amaçlanmaktadır.
The rapid progress of medical device technology has been leading the important developments in the health sector. Contribution to disease diagnosis and the medical science of medical devices for the treatment determines the direction of the medical advances. Today, significantly affecting patients' treatment preferences, medical device technology has raised the comptetition between health institutions which serve with and without advanced medical technology. In an increasingly globalized world, the same situation is also true for countries. The countries giving priority to medical device technology and separate a significant portion of investments in R&D have been increasing their level of development by giving direction to their economy. In this study, getting across the importance of medical technology in Turkey which is closely following developments in the medical device industry in the world taking into account the process of accession to the European Union and contributing to the development of medical devices sector in Turkey are aimed by bringing recommendations.
