dc.description.abstractKadın Dostu Kentler Projesi, kadını kentte görünür kılmayı, toplum içindeki dezavantajlı konumundan çıkarmayı hedefine koyan bir projedir. Bu projenin bir üyesi olan Gaziantep, kadın dostu olma iddiası ile öne çıkan, aynı zamanda Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı kadın olan bir kenttir. Bu çalışma, Gaziantep'in kadın dostu kent olma hedefine ulaşıp ulaşmadığını ortaya koymak amacıyla 1004 kadın denekle gerçekleştirilen bir alan araştırmasına dayanmaktadır. Bu kapsamda, Gaziantep'te yaşayan kadınların kentsel alanla ilişkileri, kentsel sorunlarla ilgili düşünceleri, memnuniyet ve güven düzeyleri ve Kadın Dostu olmayı taahhüt eden kentten beklentileri, anket yöntemi ile ölçülmekte ve diğer kadın dostu kent uygulamalarından yola çıkılarak, bir analiz yapılmaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractWomen Friendly Cities Project is a project, which aims to make women visible in urban area and change their disadvantageous status in the society. Gaziantep is one of the members of this project which has the claim to be a woman-friendly city, as well as the metropolitan municipality has been governed by a female mayor. This paper is based on a field research, which is conducted by 1004 women to identify the achievements of Gaziantep's goals while becoming a woman-friendly city. In this context, relationship between women living in Gaziantep and the urban area, the thoughts on urban problems, the level of satisfaction and confidence and expectations and commitments from a woman-friendly city, is going to be measured by survey method and made an analysis setting out from the other female-friendly city practices.en_US
